We dreaded the car buying experience so much, we put it off for an additional year. We don't like to haggle nor wait for sales to walk back and forth to the manager to negotiate. We were extremely pleased with the entire process. We test drove many cars like the Outback and even during the test drive, before we decided on this one, there was no pressure -- just information on the car to assist in our decision. We especially appreciated Nick Rine's competence and knowledge of the Outback and Crosstrek. The no haggle system of purchasing plus Nick's expertise and honesty will draw us back there without hesitation. We even got a great trade in offer for our SUV. We highly recommend the Fitzgerald Subaru and Nick Rine! More
I have not purchased a new car for over 30 years. Usually I have bought newer used cars. After doing way too much research on brands and models of cars, I went to 3 local dealerships to try and get Usually I have bought newer used cars. After doing way too much research on brands and models of cars, I went to 3 local dealerships to try and get closer to a decision. Fitzgerald Subaru was far superior in many areas. Firstly, was my salesperson, Andy Stahl. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable of the vehicles and all of the particulars, but he was patient, not pushy, and dealt with me how I would deal with someone. I actually was back and forth to this dealership 7 to 8 times before I finally purchased our 2013 Outback. Even after the sale, Andy called on 3 different times to see how things were. I have gone back every now and then for Andy to show me or my wife how to set up bluetooth, etc., as was his suggestion. The people who completed the paperwork were also awesome and were very helpful. And finally I was very impressed when the General Manager came up to my wife and me to thank us for our business and to let us know that if there were any issues in the future, that he was there to make things right. I think the GM's name was Bob Smith, but I'm not sure. When we are in the market for a new car, or even a used one, I will return to Fitzgerald. I was treated fairly and respectfully. Other dealers either: didn't provide an offer -or- when they did make an offer, it was a higher price for a lower model. I had requested an automatic transmission (a more costly option). Of the three other dealers who made offers, all were more expensive than Fitzgerald's. Additionally, the small print on each of the other offers showed that the price was for "any manual transmission on the lot" and none even had manual transmissions on the lot. I'm careful of which businesses I support with my money and was repelled by that maneuver. The experience at Fitgerald's was up front, pleasant and no negative surprises. I refer anyone in the market for a car to Fitz. More
This is the third Subaru we purchased at Fitzgeralds with Nick Rine as the salesperson. Nick worked with us to make sure we were getting the car we wanted. He took the time to make sure we reviewed the available models and options, including any "special packages" that provided the options we desired for the model. He got us an excellent deal on the car and the car loan. I should mention that the Nick and the other sales staff are very friendly and courteous. Also, we have our vehicles serviced at Fitzgeralds and have been very happy with the service. The staff has been friendly and helpful and very responsive to our needs. It's a pleasure to go in for a new car or for service. I have and will continue to recommend Fitzgeralds and Nick Rine. More
My 1st Subaru I have ever owned. It took me over 4 months to finally decide on a vehicle. Through this time Andy (my salesman) was very patient with me and kept in contact the whole time. Andy would explain the differences in both models and the feature differences depending on trim level. They went over all the options of a purchase vs lease and presented me with different payments that would fit my budget. I was coming from an Accord so the major differences were the boxer engine and the CVT transmission. This is where the service dept. shined. I was in quite a few times for noises that I wasn't accustomed to due to the transmission and the sound of the engine. The service dept. took their time explaining to me what was going on and did diagnostic tests to confirm that there was nothing out of the ordinary happening. Everything was normal... I just had to "learn" a different type of car. I've now owned my Impreza Sport for about 5 months and loving it. I'm looking forward to my next Subaru already... Hopefully it will be the new body style WRX when it is released. More
I have returned to Fitzgerald six times in the past 15 years to get a new car. That in itself is proof positive of what a great dealership it is from the sales department, to the management, to the servic years to get a new car. Everyone is top notch and worthy of the highest recommendation.Absolutely professional and low key--no high pressure tactics and fair deals.
