A friendly, fun, positive atmosphere was great, along with others besides the sales person (managers? at the front desk)jumping in to get us finished and on the way home at the end of the deal which ended up late at night. No one complained that it was 9 pm and they wanted to go home--nice way to do business as far as we were concerned since we went on our way with our new car--the one we wanted with want we wanted on it and didn't have to wait a week or more as told to us by the local dealer. Being in sales, we know!!! when a customer inquires--there is an interest--when you get them what they want fast--they usually purchase. Fitzgerald did that. Thus, more happy customers! Many other dealerships try to use old showroom floor methods to force a face-to-face relationship -- "What time tomorrow will you stop in?", "I need to speak with you about some of the details, please give me a call," "You need to come in for me to explain all of the details." And some dealerships won't give you all of the information up front, even though I explicitly ask for it -- again as a means to force the customer to engage more personally. After a few back and forths, I let these guys know "Look, I don't want a pen pal, I am considering buying a car. If you can't give me the information I need in an email, I'll work the other dealerships that already have." Some try the showroom floor approach of badgering, "Are you serious about buying a car?!" etc. I tell those guys, "I am serious, but I don't like your tone. If you can't work professionally, I'll continue working with the other dealerships who can."
