Shopping for a new Hyundai, I worked with Evan. Dealer where we purchased the vehicle was defensive and somewhat disinterested in pursuing a repair. I was advised by Toyota Corporate Customer Care to visit Fitzgerald Toyota for help. There I met Rob Gordon , a senior mechanic, who drove the car and heard the noise and advised me that Toyota would identify a fix. At a later date I met Gil Briggs, the service mgr. He was very busy but listened to me for at least 30 minutes. He asked me to leave the car so he could drive it. He heard the noise but Toyota had not identified a new replacement part. Months later I received a phone call at home from Mr. Briggs. He told me he just received a new TSB from Toyota that he believed would fix the problem. HE CALLED ME THE SAME DAY THE TSB WAS ISSUED BY TOYOTA !!! I brought the car in and a new electro-mechanical clutch assembly in the transfer case was switched out to eliminate most but not all the noise. Messrs. Gordon and Briggs are top notch. You will not find better service anywhere else. I still have not heard from the original dealer. For a busy service mgr at a major dealership to call me MONTHS LATER ON THE SAME DAY THE TSB WAS ISSUED is simply unexpected and greatly appreciated.. These gentleman are master mechanics and master customer service professionals. I am 76 years old, the son of a mechanic, and know a little more about mechanical operations than the average owner. These gentleman are the best I have ever dealt with and I highly recommend them More
I came back to Fitzgerald Subaru for my 4th Subaru. My last car was a 2004 so I'm so glad I had Johnny Figueroa as my salesman. He helped me decide which car was best for my needs. Terminal Hold We came to Fitzgerald for a Pre-Owned Highlander that we saw online and liked. The dealership was not close to home, but we liked the vehicle. Arrang We came to Fitzgerald for a Pre-Owned Highlander that we saw online and liked. The dealership was not close to home, but we liked the vehicle. Arranged a test drive and filed an online application for finance. We also brought our van to trade-in. We had $12,000 in hand, hoped to get $3000 from the trade-in, and planned to finance the balance. The car was ready for us to test drive when we arrived. We explained to the salesperson, that we seemed to have lost the lien release letter for the van (it's ten years old and has been paid off for eight). He assured us that since the loan had been with Toyota Financial this could be worked out there at the dealership. We took the test drive and the vehicle performed as we'd hoped, and we were pleased. The trade-in offer was slightly higher than what we'd hoped for, so there was no issue with that. We were fine with the price as offered (note we haggled over neither the trade value nor the price), and proceeded to move forward with the purchase. This is where things started to go sideways. First, the online finance application I'd filed has not "crossed over", so this had to be completed again. While not a big deal, I came to realize later that this was the first sign that things are not altogether smooth with their processes. The finance application was completed and filed (no issue there either - excellent credit, verifiable income, long-time i-home and at job). Then we waited. And waited. And waited. After about an hour, I went to find someone (the salesperson, to his credit, went off to get the vehicle fueled and washed). I told this person, that, we needed to start on this in 15 minutes or we would have to leave. At his point, Curt Smith, came to tell us that they "only had two people and were moving us ahead as fast as they could. I reiterated our need to get going, and Mr. Smith repeated, weakly, that they were short-handed and would get us in soon. In a few minutes, Kevin Flynn came and got us and took us to the finance person. [I find it odd that, after waiting an hour, they suddenly were able to help us as soon as an issue was made of it.] And this is where it ended. We went to meet with finance manager, Santos Mieses. He asked us for the title and lien release on the trade. we told him that we didn't have the release, but were told that they could work it out. Mr. Mieses immediately and with conviction told us that they couldn't do that. At this point, We called it and walked out. Mr. Flynn, met us at our car as we were leaving and told us that it could be worked out, but they would have to make phone calls, etc. We told him that Mr. Mieses should have led with that and that the salesperson should have queried this issue with finance from the beginning. Having no confidence that this death spiral of incompetence to end with this issue and having no immediate need to buy, we left took our $12,000, our van, and our solid credit history, and left. We will seek out a purchase from another dealer. More
