Steer Clear I do not recommend this dealership. I purchased a used cpo genesis a few months ago. The salesperson John Dutton seems friendly and may do a good I do not recommend this dealership. I purchased a used cpo genesis a few months ago. The salesperson John Dutton seems friendly and may do a good job gaining people's trust but he's just as bad as your stereotypical used car salesman with many tricks up his sleeve. I inquired about the vehicle and before I got there. He had the engine running and a hanging dealer tag covering a big scratch in the back bumper. This literally covered up the scratch and prevented me from hearing the loud tick from the transmission when shifting without the car fully warmed up. He didn't seem to be completely knowledgeable in Hyundais but gave answers to my questions that were not accurate (more to come on this in a bit). The dealership also makes a mockery of the cpo program. The check list mentions a whole host of things regarding the condition of the interior, exterior, and mechanical, but you have to wonder what kind of standards they truly hold themselves to. Regardless, if you have decent people you're doing business with, you expect them to be fair, have common sense, and treat you with respect. The dealership's two big flaws were the following: - Emissions testing. He told me the car had passed MD emissions which I knew was transferable to my state of Virginia. This means I would not have had to get and pay for emissions myself. A few days before the temporary tag expired I got an email from the title clerk saying I need to send her emissions certification. I responded saying that must be a mistake and at the end they wound up admitting they made a mistake in telling me the car had passed emissions. I told them I"ll just go get it done myself but they need to reimburse me for the cost. A couple of the managers got involved but there was no success in getting them to pay for their mistake. - Poor job in removing old window tint. When I took the car into a local tint shop I was told a poor job removing the old tint and glue, and that they would have to charge extra to remove the old glue first. First of all, you have to question the quality control of their cpo cars if a car in this condition is made available for sale. Secondly, I respectfully informed the dealer of this and asked to be reimbursed for this extra cost but they wouldn't budge on this, either, and instead invited me to use my personal time to take a 60 mile round trip drive for them to fix their mistake. There were a few other issues with this transaction but the takeaway of this story is i gave them a golden opportunity to very easily and economically make up for their mistakes. Them reimbursing me $100 or so would've won themselves a fan and a repeat customer (the cars in our household tend to be replaced every 4 to 6 years). But they did not want to make their wrongs right. My request was out of principle as that $100 is not enough for even two tanks of gas. This dealership, on the other hand, lacks the most basic principle of treating their customers with fairness. More

When the Gaithersburg location didn't have what I was looking for, he drove us himself to another location that had one I wanted to look at (in a fitzgerald car so we could save our gas). That is the car I ended up buying! Very helpful and understanding - willing to repeat the information for me that I couldn't remember! Would definitely recommend him to friends, family, and strangers. This was my first car, and this sales associate made my first car purchasing experience really great! He was willing to help me out as much as he could and helped me find the best deal for my budget!! More

At no time were we pressured to buy on the spot without looking at all our options. In fact we were encouraged to do so, and to compare their price with the competition (which, by the way, was the lowest we found anywhere). Also a big part of our decision to buy with them was my previous positive experience with the Fitzgerald Toyota Service Center. The regular services are not always cheap, but they are extremely thorough and done with an eye towards preventative maintenance. As a result I have experienced very few failures over the last 100k. Lastly, having an Allstate agent right there in the dealership to switch our insurance the same day saved us an extra hassle and was much appreciated. More

They supported me everything with kind attitude. Especially, Jin-moon Kim gave me a lot of helps to choose a model and get a great price. Jamie and John were also kind and cordial. Right of the bat they gave me $1000 off since I found the vehicle online (internet discount). Also they gave me an additional $750 off for being a recent college graduate.
