We just wanted to say we had a positive experience at Folsom Chevrolet! We love our new/used car and the service was honest, friendly and not pushy at all! My husband and I needed an economy car since Folsom Chevrolet! We love our new/used car and the service was honest, friendly and not pushy at all! My husband and I needed an economy car since he was going to start 50 mile day commute, we did alot of the financing on-line before we went in to dealership. All we had to do was check out the car, and sign the paperwork if we were happy! Was easy! The finance man was extremely efficient and made it a painless experience. Have not had any issues with our vehicle and have already drove it quite a few miles since purchasing! I highly recommend this dealership! Thank you Folsom Chevrolet and we will see you when our son graduates college to buy his vehicle! More
The initial salesperson, Sang was very friendly and helpful. The dealership was asking about $2000 more than the Blue book price for this car in excellent condition. I wanted to pay less than their helpful. The dealership was asking about $2000 more than the Blue book price for this car in excellent condition. I wanted to pay less than their price. Michael, the manager was sent for to negotiate the price. This took over two hours He lied to me and said that they performed $3000 worth of work on the car. I did not see how this was an added feature, to me it sounded like they had to do it to make it sellable. He was unable to give me a detailed report of what work they had done. After the purchase my mechanic told me it was missing the belly plate and battery cover, the timing belt was almost at twice it's expected lifetime, and the brakes were at only 60%. The dealership had submitted a report to carfax saying that they had replaced the brake pads. This was obviously false. The car must crank for about 60 seconds before starting, although it started right up at the dealership. When I changed the oil, it was pure BLACK, and the filter was stiff with age. This car was NOT in excellent condition, and they performed NO work on it. They had pushed hard to sell me a warranty, which I accepted. They called me back in the next weekend for some more paperwork "for the banks." I had to drive 50 miles and wait another hour just to find that they could not sell me the warranty after all, and we had to choose a different financing company. They did try to sell me another warranty that cost twice as much for half the coverage, and required a deposit up front. So now I have no warranty. Additionally, I got several rejection letters from banks concerning the financing of the car, and all of them had my last name misspelled. Sure enough, when the agreement details arrived from the one bank that did accept, my last name was misspelled. Do not purchase from this dealership. They are unscrupulous and conniving. They will lie to you, inflate the price, and pull shady financing switches in order to squeeze even more money from you. More
They sold me a car that didn't exist. I came in to purchase a new 2011 car, that I was promised was available to me. Put my deposit down, completed the financing, and shook hands. The next day I recei purchase a new 2011 car, that I was promised was available to me. Put my deposit down, completed the financing, and shook hands. The next day I received a call from the sales manager (Mike L.), saying that the car I purchased was in fact spoken for. I could, however, take a model with the same specs that's available for purchase in southern California - "but it would arrive to you WITH 400 MILES ON IT because we would have to DRIVE IT TO OUR DEALERSHIP." Same price. That would mean a brand-new used car. Or I could wait 3 months after ordering one. They tried to get me to buy other models on the lot as well. Shipping it to me was out of the question, says the "manager" on the phone, since I got such a "good price" when I purchased. I'm of the belief that the dealer should handle their mistake – such as the mistake of selling me a car that they had no right to. Never an apology from anyone involved at any time. A follow-up apology from the salesman I originally worked with (Dave D.) would have been nice - or at least a reply to the email I sent him saying that the deal he set up went sour. That afternoon I wrote an email to the GM of the dealership about this entire experience, but no reply after two days. Gross mistreatment of the consumer. Be advised. More
If they could have gotten something wrong, they did. If they could have gotten something wrong, they did. 1) They lost several of the documents I signed, so I had to go back TWICE to re-sign paperwor If they could have gotten something wrong, they did. 1) They lost several of the documents I signed, so I had to go back TWICE to re-sign paperwork. 2) Part of our sales agreement was for them to repair three small items. When I brought the car in the first time, I waited for over an hour to be told by the service manager that they couldn't repair one of the items because it would be too expensive. I had to enlist the help of the GM, who showed them my contract. Then they had to order the parts (which I assumed they had already done) and I had to bring my car back a second time. After all that, they forgot to call me when the parts came in. 3) The worst was that I got two refunds (they collected overpayments of state fees and the trade-in payoff) and nobody called to notify me that there were checks sitting there. When I came in to re-sign a document or get one of the repairs done (I can't remember which), someone noticed the two checks stapled inside my file. 4) In general, their service times are SLOW. The first time I brought my last Nissan in for service, they had cancelled my appointment and failed to notify me. The second time I came in for just an oil change. I saw my car waiting outside, but was told that the person with my file had gone to lunch, so I had to wait another half-hour (on top of the hour it took for a simple oil change) for that person to come back and hand the file to the cashier. SERIOUSLY?? More
Nissan dealer service center is rip-off. They billed me $3000 for simple spark plug replacement. My common sense prevailed and i took my car to different auto service center. I seriously recommend everyone $3000 for simple spark plug replacement. My common sense prevailed and i took my car to different auto service center. I seriously recommend everyone to think before taking their cars to this dealer. They are cheats and frauds. More
