Happy customer I scheduled an appointment with Shawn a couple weeks back to test drive a Taurus SHO. He welcomed me upon arrival and made the whole first meeting and I scheduled an appointment with Shawn a couple weeks back to test drive a Taurus SHO. He welcomed me upon arrival and made the whole first meeting and interaction very comfortable. We talked about what type of auto I was interested in, what features and key items I needed most, and he openly allowed me to drive other cars on the lot. In short, he didn’t rush me, he asked open-ended questions, and we left things open that day with no pressure or next step. I took time to test other cars and ended up negotiating the deal on the SHO with Bruce (the GM) and Shawn was very diligent about following up to get the deal done. Paperwork and financing were prepared for me this morning when I went back, and my trade-in was seemless. Shawn had me out the door and on my way in an under an hour. I’d endorse Shawn and the VD team in a second - they’re good, honest folks who want satisfied customers to buy, instead of being sold to. Thanks gang! More

A true family dealership! I have known Skip since I was 7 as he was my little league coach.. Like any typical male in their 20s, I wanted to get a new, flashy car every year - I have known Skip since I was 7 as he was my little league coach.. Like any typical male in their 20s, I wanted to get a new, flashy car every year - buy a car, trade it in. Buy a car, trade it in. I went to Skip (as he has sold my whole family cars for as long as I can remember) and told him I wanted to get another car because I was bored with the one I had. Had I gone to any other dealer, every other typical car salesman would have jumped on it and tried to sell me the most expensive car for my taste with all the bells and whistles... but not Skip. I came to Skip and asked him to crunch some numbers for me so I can consider it. As crazy as it may sound for a car salesman, Skip refused. He told me he was not going to do that because I was not in need of another car. It would not have made any sense to get rid of the one I had just to showboat another car. He told me it was a waste of my time and money and refused to help me because he cared about me like I was his son. If that doesn't scream, commitment, dedication, loyalty, and care - all the qualities you want in a local family dealership, I don't know what does. Both Skip and Bruce have been great to my family and I and never fail to greet us every time we are there with a smile, willing to do anything we needed to make our experience at Van Drunen Ford a positive one. It's no surprise that Van Drunen Ford is Chicagoland's oldest Ford dealership with a staff as great as theirs. Helping change families and lives for the better since 1930!
