Ford of Latham - Service Center

My car was in need of service due to two recalls. Ford of Latham mentioned that they'd have to order parts before we scheduled an appointment - and that's what they did. Once the parts were in, I scheduled an appointment. Dropped my car off and was told that it would be finished well before 5PM and that I'd receive a call when it was ready for pick up. I never received a call. When I called at 5PM, I was sent to the voicemail of my service advisor and he never called me back. I went to the dealership and was told that: "we could not close your recalls because we needed parts to do so." ?????? I was told that the parts were already ordered and in their possession. They were not prepared for my appointment and they did not communicate well. More

I have to say that Ford of Latham's Service was spot on with the care of my car. Very prompt with pickup and delivery, all itemized listed issues addressed and communication as to what was being done was with the care of my car. Dan the service manager was in touch with updates and let me know when and how all jobs were completed. There was a written summary and a video of actual process for me to see. I arrived early for my service appointment and my truck was taken right away. The technician completed the required maintenance and tire rotation, and the also performed a free multi-point inspection. I was taken right away. I wasted a day off of work for an appointment. I brought my car in for a simple job (installing bed lights). After an hour of waiting they said they’d need a full day to do it and to come back tom I brought my car in for a simple job (installing bed lights). After an hour of waiting they said they’d need a full day to do it and to come back tomorrow…meaning I’d have to take another day off of work. Whats the point of an appointment? So, I left. I called DePaula Ford and they got me in and out in two hours. Why would I trust Latham Ford with any service now? For service or my next new car, I will not return to Latham Ford after being treated like that. If you charge $200 an hour, I want $200 an hour for wasting MY time. Unacceptable. More
