Certified Preowned warranty is meaningless to them I bought a 2016 "Certified Preowned" Volkwagen Jetta on Friday 9/13 (hmm Friday the 13th...). Whilst on the drive home on the interstate, I realized t I bought a 2016 "Certified Preowned" Volkwagen Jetta on Friday 9/13 (hmm Friday the 13th...). Whilst on the drive home on the interstate, I realized that the brakes were vibrating severely when I pressed them harder and going at higher speeds. Something I didn't do on the test drive. Perhaps my fault for not inspecting further, but I mistakenly thought the Certified Preowned warranty had some meaning (described as 2 year, 24000 mile, bumper-to-bumper). I called about an hour down the road and they said that my local dealer should be able to help. They were not helpful, but the local dealer (Grossinger... also stay away) is notorious for terrible service. I didn't want to keep driving with the vibrating brakes and cause further damage, and I needed a car, so I ended up taking it to my trusted mechanic and paid $613 for all new rotors and brake pads. I'll post pics of the rotors here later, but it turns out that they were rusted beyond repair for the car sitting too long. Today is Thursday 9/19, and the responses I keep getting from Frank Boucher people is "oh, we need to talk to [so and so]", or "my service guy is looking into the records". It's so sad to find out that these warranties are meaningless to the dealers. I've been scammed. I like the car, but so upset about the loss of peace-of-mind that the warranty is supposed to bring. Lied the whole time Went here to get a new VW, ended up liking the 2017 GTI S. The sales Associate was great, very knowledgeable and answered every question. Went over to finance to set up a plan, and the financer was absolutely terrible. Suggested I have my dad co-sign to make my payments lower, so I obliged and had him come in. Long story short, she stated there was no difference between the main signer and co-signer and insisted I sign as the co-signer and my dad as the main. I did not sign as this was fishy to me, and she explained in great detail how there is no longer a difference between the two. She stated they would be using my fathers credit so I could get the lowest payments possible. We ended up signing, and right after I signed she stated that they were using my credit, and not my fathers and he was the actual owner of the car. I stated what she told me at the beginning and she said well there is a difference. I talked with VWCredit as well the finance manager with both stating they have never seen a contract written the way mine was and that it was not standard procedure. I went straight to my bank and bought out the loan through VW. NEVER will I go here again, they lie to get you to sign the contracts then afterwards they said you’re SOL and not their problem anymore. I’ve talked with the GM and they have only gave me the run around in everything. I will never give them my business again. More

My mom and I researched dealerships and cars in Wisconsin and Illinois and found that Frank Boucher VW, Mazda, Kia in Racine had the best and most accommodating staff and best selection of cars I was interested in. I wanted a 2018 VW Beetle (there are not many left in my budget). Sarah Turner and George Cooper answered all of my and my family's MANY questions regarding car buying, pricing, and financing. They were very transparent with the price and other fees which made the whole process and they day i bought my car so easy and fun! I had such a great time buying my car and would recommend this staff and location to anyone I meet! More

Emergency brake did not work unless you pulled it to the max with an extreme amount of muscle. There is no way my daughter would be able to engage it. 2. Pressing the brakes at 60 mph felt like you were in a space shuttle reentering the atmosphere, with extreme shaking in the steering wheel. 3. Oil Leak Ok. So there’s problems. All I asked for was that they be fixed and I would buy the car. After all they say the car is safety certified and two of the three are safety issues. Also, how do you claim you do a mechanical check and inspection and the first thing you see when you look underneath is dripping oil? Salesperson came back from sales manager and said that they would fix two of the three problems, which ones would I like fixed. I said number two and three. Done deal right? No, Salesperson comes back and tells me they’re going to take the car to the service department to see what the problems are in detail After about 20 minutes the sales manager approaches asked me what I need to buy the car. I tell him that I want the problems fixed. He tells me that they are not going to fix any of the problems. The car stops and drives and the oil leak is just seepage. At that point since the sales manager is now reverse negotiating, and wants to sell me a car with safety and mechanical issues that should’ve been identified and fixed before I even drove to the dealership, I left. More

Working with John we were able to get the purchase price of the car to what we wanted without too much hassle. We got a fair amount for our trade in given the fact that it had an accident. The two days we went in to negotiate on price and to pick up the car Boucher was very accommodating for our two kids which made the experience great. We were able to get a large amount of the upfront paperwork going remotely so we had to spend the minimal amount of time at the dealer. When we were leaving with the new car it was down pouring rain and they even brought our old car and new car into the garage so we could swap our car seats. More
