From start to finish, everyone was prompt, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They seemed to answer our questions before we asked them. The figures they presented to us were clear and straightforward, and we felt that we reached a price that was fair to both sides. This was the first time we've bought a new car that we actually knew what we paid for it! We spent many hours making our decision, but they never lost patience or seemed annoyed, and we never had the feeling that they were pressuring us. I wish we lived in Greenville so we could use their service department. Thanks for a pleasant car-buying experience! More

Sales process was very straight forward. Salesman listened to what we wanted (and did not want) and quickly zeroed in on what might fit our needs. The 2 sales people with whom we dealt are a credit to your dealership and were as different from stereotypical car salespeople as can be. More
Breakaway Honda matched the best price I had seen on TrueCar.com. In addition, their did not charge me for about $700 of options on the MSRP Label. Several other car dealers said they could not make a deal considering there was still 6 payments to be made on my current Toyota lease. Breakaway paid the lease off as well. I was going to pay for the car in cash. Gordon suggested that I finance $5000 because that would qualify the car to have another $500 price reduction. Considering I was going to pay cash anyway, I will pay the financing off within a week. Gorden got me a deal other car lots said that couldn't be done and and additional $500 off. Last, but not least, I need a week to sell a potion of my IRA to pay the car off, never-the-less, they let me drive the car home without having put so much as a penny down. I was getting sick during the negotiations due to my blood sugar running 442. ( I had breakfast at IHOP with syrup.) Gordon took care of me by repeatedly fetching bottles of water for me. Gorden was friendly, listened to my tired old jokes, saved me money, and provided great service. I definitely WOULD recommend this dealership to other people. My wife and I have been a customer of Breakaway Honda since 2001. Over that period I have leased 9 vehicles, including the two that I leased on 11/27. Our salesman Rick Haines was very nice to work with, however the majority of the negations were conducted with the sales manager (Adam Rainwater) who was pushy, rude, lied on more than one occasion, and basically could have cared less that we were returning customers. We finally came to a verbal agreement on price on the 27th (the day before Thanksgiving). That evening as we were in the finance office finalizing all of the paperwork, it was brought to my attention that I would have to pay an additional $400 over and above the amount that we had agreed upon. Of course at 6:30 on the day before a holiday everyone had left so I was stuck. In hind sight I should have walked out, but I didn't...that was my mistake. I know in the scheme of things $400 is not a lot of money, but its the principle that things were not accurately represented to us...it was somewhat of a bait and switch. This was just the icing on the cake of what was overall a very unpleasant experience. We have been loyal to the Honda brand and equally loyal to Breakaway since 2001, but based on our recent experience I would not recommend Breakaway Honda to anyone. I also will most likely take my business elsewhere in three years when our current leases are up. More

I then decided to try Costco pricing and see what would happen there. David again contacted me via e-mail. At the dealership, he walked me through the cars I was interested in. There were a couple in my price range and David helped me decide between the two. I never felt "pushed" to purchase a car. David was more than willing to work within my price range. I then worked with Chris to compete all the paperwork. I appreciated his explanation of each paper and chatting with him. My experience at Breakaway was excellent. I'm very pleased with the car I am purchasing and with the professionalism of the Breakaway staff. I will definitely recommend this dealership to my friends. Thank you! More
