Christine Brunt sold me a new Civic then in what was the most pleasant and brief car purchase I had experienced to date. Her knowledge of the Honda line and sales professionalism was first rate and the care my Civic received over the past year in Breakaway's service department was nothing less than excellent. So when I decided to upgrade my Civic to an Accord, the choice was simple. I set an appointment to meet again with Christine this past Saturday and, as before, she discussed with me what I wanted in an Accord. She showed me a car that met my expectations perfectly and in no time at all we had settled on a purchase agreement. Christine is a joy to work with and she makes purchasing a car relaxing and fun. I was in the market to buy two new Honda's and was dealing with Mark Becker at Breakaway. I bought one car from Breakaway and decided to deal with another dealership to purchase the other. I called to check on something with my new car purchase at Breakaway and spoke with Sales Manager, John Miller. Mr. Miller was extremely upset that I did not make my second new car purchase with Breakaway. He was very rude to me raising his voice, talking over me and interrupting me. I asked for his manager's name and he told me straight up, "I will not give you his name. I repeatedly asked to speak with his manager and he said his manager was standing right next to him. He proceeded to tell me that. "I did NOT need to have any further dealings with Breakaway Honda." Here I have a new car w/a 36k mile warranty and was told not to deal with the dealership that I purchased the car from. I have never been talked to so badly in my life. I will never step foot back in Breakaway Honda. I purchased 2 new Civic's within two days...one from Breakaway and the other from Hendrick Honda in Easley. Hendrick Honda of Easley is the way to go!! Hendrick Honda works as a team...I had three individuals helping me at one time....AMAZING service! Hendrick did not have my color choice on their lot, but managed to get it within 3 hours. They may be a smaller dealership, but it was well worth the 3 hour wait. Hendrick made me feel right at home and treated me with upmost respect. They even gave me a free car care kit without my asking...the BEST new car purchase I've ever made. I wish I had made BOTH new car purchases through Hendrick Honda in Easley. I previously owned a 1991 Honda Accord with almost 300,000 miles. I always said I wouldn't trade cars until mine became unreliable. Over the course of many years, trying to take care of my car, I became familiar with the service and parts departments. I have had more interaction with the service department and have always been treated like family by everyone there. Donnie, Ricky, Floyd, Chris and Jack have always seen to it that my every need was met. They are such an amazing crew that it was only natural when I decided to buy a new car I was headed to Breakaway, no other dealership ever crossed my mind. I am living in Charlotte now but because of the loyalty and kindness shown to me over the years I drove back to Breakaway Honda to make my purchase. I was in completely new territory with the sales team but was just as pleased with the service and knowledge that Doug McAbee had regarding my new Honda. All of the dealings were done over the phone and when I called unexpectedly on a Saturday morning and told him I was in town he said, "we are getting the car ready for you". About two hours later I pulled up to find my 2011 Honda Accord sitting in front of the building. They had cleaned it up, filled it up, and had even set up some radio stations for me. I was only in the dealership for an hour and a half from start to finish and was headed out the door to drive my new car home!! If you are shopping for an automobile and you haven't decided for sure on a Honda yet let me be the one to tell you that Honda is the ONLY choice. Not only is Honda the only choice but BREAKAWAY HONDA is the ONLY choice!! You will never be disappointed in any experience you have, from the front door to the back door, if you are on Woodruff Road at Breakaway Honda. I may live in Charlotte with other dealerships only miles away, but I will continue to bring my car to Breakaway Honda for service visits. Since they are open on Saturdays I can get all my work done then, and I will know that I am taken care of........actually more than taken care of.
