Listening to the customer should be an easy task. Last time I took the car for service instead the Alexa app was disable. I just wanted the regular 25k service and the radio reset. No action was taken since no one listened to the customers need. Made a Toyota Care appointment for 20,000 miles. Took 2-1/2 hours for “Express Service” which is totally unacceptable!! The wireless charger in my brand new 2022 Toyota Tacoma does not work. Peter Stevenson in service tried twice to assess the problem (23 July & 26 July) but got told by someone within the Toyota Service/ does not work. Peter Stevenson in service tried twice to assess the problem (23 July & 26 July) but got told by someone within the Toyota Service/Technical system that there was nothing else to be done; that the charger isn’t designed to charge, only maintain whatever the existing charge is. To put it nicely, both Peter & I question that answer. Toyota Technical Assistance gave Peter a Task Case number 222070058. I also called Toyota USA on 26 July and they said that someone would call me back by 27 July to let me know what is going on—still no call. Overall, the Freeman team has been great. However, I do think that whoever told Peter that the wireless charger doesn’t actually charge was either lying (the owner’s manual clearly states that it is designed to wirelessly charge phones) or they just didn’t want to deal with it. Pete Johnson, who sold us the truck is elevating the issue with the Freeman manager, but we are all still waiting on an answer. After all, when you pay over $50k for a vehicle, you expect everything to work, even the “lesser” bells & whistles…make sense? More
