Unacceptable Experience – Dishonest Service Department If I could give a negative star rating, I would. My recent experience with the service department at Freeway was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I brought in my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado due to a brake issue. The diagnosis was a bad brake master cylinder, which was fortunately covered by the extended warranty I purchased (a nearly $3,000 repair). However, the service advisor, Matt Shakespeare, told me that all the brakes and rotors were completely shot due to this issue and quoted me $1,894.57 to replace them all. That seemed very overpriced, so I let him know I’d be looking elsewhere. Initially, he appeared to understand. I later found a reputable shop willing to do the same work for $1,100—still not cheap, but significantly more reasonable. Once I informed Matt, he suddenly dropped the price to $1,300. I appreciated the gesture but had already decided to go with the other shop. Here’s where the real issue begins: Matt then called back and told me that if I didn’t have the brake and rotor work done at Freeway, it would void my warranty. This didn’t sound right, so I contacted my warranty provider, MPP (Mechanical Protection Plan), directly—not once, but three separate times. Each time, they confirmed this was false. No such condition exists in my warranty coverage. At that point, it became clear I was being misled—pressured to complete the work under false pretenses. That is unethical and unacceptable. When I confronted Matt about this, he backpedaled and said he was just trying to keep me safe. But honesty and trust are critical, especially when it comes to safety and expensive repairs. If he had simply been honest from the start, I may have given Freeway my business. But the blatant lie ruined any trust I had. To make matters worse, even the warranty company recommended I ask Freeway for written documentation stating that failure to complete the brake/rotor job with them would void the warranty. Of course, no such document exists—because it’s not true. You know something’s wrong when the warranty company is more transparent than the dealership. This kind of dishonest behavior has no place in a customer service environment. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to approach this service department with caution. More

Deceptive / Fraudulent pricing at best . .. we were interested in purchasing an EV at this dealership. The advertised price said originally $25,395 with a $6,131 discount leaving a total of $19,264. The disclosure said final pricing ws $20,221 with taxes, title, etc. So when arriving to check it out things changed drastically and they wouldn't honor their own internet pricing. Bear in mind this was a 2021 vehicle, they claimed to have added a clear bra, and some protective molding for doors, etc. Normally one would expect these add-ons to be on a new vehicle, not a 3 yr. old trade in. But where the big deception comes in is because the $4,000 tax credit which you can claim on your taxes was apparently being shown as a discount. This is between you and the IRS and has NOTHING to do with the dealership, and also it's a tax CREDIT, not a dollar for dollar discount or rebate style refund that you will get back when you file your taxes. This reduces your taxable income by $4,000 only, and depending on taxes and your bracket you may actually receive nothing. And if you don't want them to do the financing chances are you won't get a good deal as well, we were going to use our credit union. Do your homework people, this is deception at it's finest and they wouldn't even discuss it ... lesson learned here. Don't waste your time going in, call first and get the REAL price ... More
