I had a great experience at Galpin Ford. This does not surprise me as I have purchased 6 vehicles from them since 1999. I had a great experience at Galpin Ford this week. I had bought a used 2001 Ford Ranger about 3 months ago and it seemed to be working just fine. About 2 weeks ago I brought it in for a routine service chec bought a used 2001 Ford Ranger about 3 months ago and it seemed to be working just fine. About 2 weeks ago I brought it in for a routine service check, but I then found out that my truck was having all kinds of issues, including major engine ones. I had bought the truck 'as-is,' and there had been no warranty available. Right away the service department (Jimmy and Rick) put me in a loaner (free of charge) and promised to look for a satisfactory solution for me as the customer. Which in the end resulted in my trading the Ranger for another vehicle. Al Joseph had assured me right from the start that the dealership would work with me - and they sure did. With the help of my salesman, Mr. Hanibal Alexsandros, I started to look around the lot for the proper vehicle. There were a few that I was interested in, and Hanibal kind of steered me in the direction of the one that I was least interested in, a 2009 Ford Escape. However, after some test driving and consideration, I finally decided that the Escape was the car for me. I have been driving it around for just a short time, but I really like it. Hanibal had told me that he felt that this would be the right car for me, and it sure starts to feel that way. Thanks to all at Galpin Ford to make this such a pleasant experience! More

While waiting for my vehicle he took the time to read my repair order and noticed there was no work done on a tire that was loosing pressure. I just had the most disappointing experience with Galpin Ford, accusing me for lying to their service person and charging me for diagnostics which I already knew the results of. I brought in my car and told Ford, accusing me for lying to their service person and charging me for diagnostics which I already knew the results of. I brought in my car and told them I had a problem with caliper 4 misfire and low compression on nr. 2. I asked how much it's going to cost me to find out what is causing this and what it's going to take to fix it. After 2 days, they call me and tell me that I have a problem with caliper 4 misfire and low compression on nr. 2 and that I never told them about this so they need to charge an additional $800 to do further diagnostics. When I brought the car on Saturday, I very specifically said: "I will not pay you to tell me what I already know. Please tell me what the cause is and how to fix it". Service person Sam agreed. Firstly, they agreed that I told them this when I brought the car in. Later, they told me I never said this. Now, they are lying that I said this, but few days later, after the "inspection" has been done. Now, their reasoning is "You should have read the small letters". Basically laughing in my face I got tricked. Never will do business with them again. Horrible service. Very disappointing for Ford and who Ford is doing business with.. More
