I recently flew in to complete an out-of-state vehicle purchase. While the car was ready for pickup, I was disappointed to find it had a chipped windshield—something that was never disclosed. In my home state, it’s actually illegal to sell a vehicle with a damaged windshield. We arrived early and were the only customers completing a purchase, yet we waited over an hour just to get into the Finance office. Once there, the process was slowed even further by repeated issues with their “new computer system.” On a positive note, our salesman was outstanding—professional, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. Unfortunately, the post-sale experience was frustrating. I was sent a password-protected link to view my documents, but the link never worked. After requesting the documents by email, I discovered the dealership had entered my date of birth incorrectly. Since the password was tied to my birth date, the online link was unusable from the start. While I appreciated the effort of our salesman, the lack of disclosure, unnecessary delays, and avoidable document errors left a poor overall impression of the dealership’s operations. More
