I did not receive an update on my car’s status for four days despite calling various times I was never connected with an advisor. I will not be using gateway Chevrolet in the future so long as I am offered the same advisor. This is my first negative experience. More
Each time I go to Gateway for servicing or looking for another vehicle I always go to Gateway, to me they are so friendly and personable. They treated me wonderfully. I was very unhappy with the service and communication I received during my recent visit. I dropped the vehicle off on a Sunday evening and placed keys in the envelope in the drop box and indicated before received during my recent visit. I ended up calling them 3 times trying to get a status. When I did get a call back the Service Rep made the statement "As we mentioned when you dropped of the vehicle, it could take 4-7 days before the vehicle is done." I did correct him and remind him that when I dropped off the vehicle it was a Sunday evening and keys were left in the drop box. No one provided me with any info at that time. I still had to contact Gateway a few more times to get an update because no one was keeping me informed of the status on my truck. During those calls the sales rep said they were troubleshooting and that he would get an update and call me back. Needless to say, he never called back. When they finally called it was late on Thursday and they said they figured out my problem and the truck was ready. When I went to pick up the truck they were going to charge me $150.00! My truck is new and under warranty. When I asked why the charges the rep was somewhat rude and said "As I mentioned when you dropped off the vehicle, there would be a $150.00 diagnostics fee." At that point I had just about enough and was a bit mad. I reminded him once again that I dropped the vehicle off on Sunday evening and no one at that time or any time thereafter contacted me regarding anything to do with my vehicle or any charges. I also reminded him that I had left specific instructions for them to contact me prior to making any repairs, etc. and they did not honor my wishes. I must say this is one of the worst experiences I've had with any dealerships. I am a loyal Chevy owner and I am sure glad that not all Chevy Dealerships operate like this or I would have to think about changing my choice of vehicles. More
