I have owned two Genesis sedans. Obviously I was pleased with the vehicle or would not have purchased a second Genesis sedan. I purchased both vehicles 2.5 miles from my home. At the time, it was a Hyunda with the vehicle or would not have purchased a second Genesis sedan. I purchased both vehicles 2.5 miles from my home. At the time, it was a Hyundai dealership. This dealership had performed all maintenance on my two vehicles to my satisfaction. That was until 2020 when I was advised I could no longer bring my Genesis to my local Hyundai dealership. I had to take my vehicle to a Genesis dealership which was 50 miles from my home. When I received a recall notice on my Genesis sedan I scheduled a repair appointment with Genesis of Corona, the closest Genesis dealership. When I arrived I was told that the part that was needed for the recall had not arrived at the dealership. OK, these things happen with Covid, but a phone call letting me know would have been helpful. I went ahead and had the dealership change my oil since I had traveled 50 miles to get there. I would return next week when the part had arrived. Less than 24 hours after driving my car home, I found myself stranded in the middle of an intersection with a police car behind me to keep other vehicles from rear-ending me. My car had severely malfunctioned. My screen had turned orange with every system showing a malfunction warning. I waited 5 hours for Genesis USA. to send a tow truck to my location to take the vehicle back to Genesis of Corona. My car was at the dealership for over a week. Not once did I receive a status update that I did not initiate. Daniella was my service advisor who was lacking in her customer service skills, not to mention her ability to return phone calls. I tried reaching out to the service manager, who also did not return my call. When I did speak with Daniella I was told they did not know what was wrong with my car. The most disappointing part is that my wife has been waiting for the Genesis GV80 SUV to be available. My satisfaction with my two Genesis vehicles had prompted her to consider the GV80 as her next car. She had even test drove one at this dealership. I STRONGLY advise you do not take your vehicle to this Genesis dealership for repair. Let my regrettable experience at this dealership be your warning. More
