Thank you for sharing your perspective. We take matters of vehicle reliability and customer trust very seriously, which is why we want to clarify the steps we have taken to resolve this situation. Before the sale was finalized, we were fully transparent about the engine light. We established a clear, written agreement via text: we would attempt to repair the vehicle, and if it could not be fixed to our standards, we would unwind the deal entirely. After our initial repair didn't hold, we authorized and paid for a diagnostic at a mechanic of your choice in Ocean Shores. When that estimate came back at approximately $5,000, we determined that the most ethical and responsible path was to honor our original agreement and unwind the deal. Our statement regarding 'not putting more money into the car' was not a refusal to help, but a realization that the vehicle did not meet our standards for resale. This is why we offered: A full refund of the purchase price. Reimbursement for every dollar you spent on the vehicle. Reimbursement for the interest accrued on your loan for the month. Our goal is to ensure you are 100% financially whole and not stuck with a vehicle that has significant mechanical needs. Currently, we have a standing offer to take the car back and return all of your funds, but you have expressed that you would prefer to keep the vehicle and have us fund the $5,000 repair instead.

Thank you for the response. I have zero interest to negotiate or litigate this matter in a public review thread, but I do need to correct the record. I have owned this vehicle for more than three weeks. During that entire time, I have had less than two hours with the vehicle where the check engine light was not on. The issue appeared immediately after purchase, and despite multiple opportunities, the vehicle has not been properly repaired. I have gone above and beyond to be reasonable and proactive in trying to resolve this. That included giving the dealership time to diagnose and repair the vehicle, communicating consistently, cooperating with next steps, and even asking about unwinding the deal more than once. I asked specific, reasonable questions about what unwinding the transaction would actually involve, and those questions were not answered. This is not simply about a repair estimate or a dollar figure. It is about whether a dealership stands behind the vehicle it sold, the warranty it offered, and the basic expectation that a customer should not be left with a vehicle that has had an active check engine light almost the entire time they have owned it. I respectfully communicated to the dealership for more than three weeks to resolve this. I also made clear that there needed to be a final resolution by a specific point. That time came and went. Again, I am not going to debate the full history here. I simply want future customers to understand my experience: I purchased a vehicle, the check engine light came on almost immediately, the problem was not resolved, and the dealership did not handle the situation in the manner a customer should reasonably expect. I want no other person to experience what I have experienced.

I appreciate your perspective as well; I do have to say I have read the text that state we were willing to reimburse your down payment reimburse you for the diagnostics and reimburse any interest you've paid. This text was May 13th at 2:17pm. We apologize if that was not communicated in a way you deemed acceptable, but I do believe based on these messages we did offer to make you full again. Thank you for your feedback

My issue is not that the communication was merely “not acceptable.” My issue is that the dealership sold me a vehicle with serious unresolved mechanical problems, kept me in a broken-vehicle situation for more than three weeks, and then did not respond in good faith when I asked specific questions about how we were going to reach a final resolution. After weeks of this, I clearly put a timeline on the matter. I asked for a concrete response on either supporting the ECM repair path or answering the specific questions I raised about unwinding the transaction. I did not receive a meaningful response (or any response). At that point, I did exactly what I told you I would do: I began making the necessary purchases and arrangements to move into repair mode and manage the process myself. So, respectfully, this is not simply a misunderstanding about whether reimbursement was mentioned in a text, and implying so is disingenuous. The core issue is much simpler: I was sold a vehicle that was not properly repaired, I was left with a vehicle that had an active check engine light almost the entire time I owned it, and when I asked for specific good-faith resolution details, the dealership did not respond in a way that allowed me to rely on that path. I do not intend to continue negotiating this publicly. I am simply correcting the record for future customers. If I have been treated this way, it's natural to be concerned others will be to, and that was the intent behind this review: help prevent others from going through a similar situation.

The staff at this dealership were dismissive, rude, and ultimately unprofessional. We were interested in a value vehicle (around $8,000) and called to request that it be transferred to a sister dealership More

If I could give zero stars, I would. I initially called Genesis of Kirkland about a GV70 they had on the lot. I was told Dylan, the sales manager, would get back to me. He never did. More
