All about making a buck. This dealership told me the car had not been in an accident. They had the car for 20 days prior to my purchase and when I got it home I saw that they failed to mention that the fr had not been in an accident. They had the car for 20 days prior to my purchase and when I got it home I saw that they failed to mention that the front brush guard had indeed sustained an impact accident of some sort. It is ruined and is pushed up against the bumper. I had arrived at the dealership after 7pm at night, and did not notice the bumper at that time. It is blatant in the sunlight. When I called to tell them about it I was told, "I am sorry to hear that". How can you miss that much damage. Obviously I signed an as-is agreement on a 2020 Tacoma with 6,500 miles on it, but I would have expected a Toyota Dealership (heck any dealership) to try to fix such an obvious falsehood on their behalf. What I really loved was the "but there were no accidents on the car fax report", as if that absolved them of ignoring blatant damage to the vehicle and/or accidents that were not reported on car fax. The next one was even better. I was told the car was cleaned as a part of the service fee for preparing the truck for sale. I found (and noted to them) that the engine compartment was covered in dirt road dust, then I found a dog leash, french fry, and the floor board paper mats stuffed under my front seats. Frankly, the people seemed nice there, but someone took every shortcut possible on a $40K truck. I will not recommend them or use them again. I have already reached out to Toyota to pass along my displeasure as well. I have also smacked my own hand for not going there during the day. I would have walked away from the deal if I had seen that front bumper in the daylight. More
