Stay as far away from Granite Motors as you can. We brought our daughter’s 2016 Buick (give or take 75,000 miles) to their service department because the check engine light kept coming on. The service writer told us the turbo was the issue and that it was covered by warranty. We couldn’t believe it, so we asked him THREE different times if he was sure. Each time he confirmed with confidence that yes, it was covered. Based on that assurance, we moved forward and even asked for pricing on additional maintenance items. By Monday, after no communication, we called only to be told: “You’re going to be upset with me.” That’s when the story changed — suddenly the turbo wasn’t covered at all. The excuse? The service writer admitted he “fat-fingered the VIN number.” The repair bill was nearly $2,700, and after admitting fault, the dealership only offered a token $230 off. When we tried to get answers, the service manager and dealership manager admitted fault but refused to make it right. Instead, they avoided communication altogether. At one point we were even told: “Well, you’re more than welcome to come and get your vehicle as we don’t have to do the work.” That one sentence sums up Granite Motors: dishonest, careless, and completely unwilling to take responsibility. They admitted fault but refused to stand behind their word. That is not customer service; that is a business that cannot be trusted. If you value integrity and accountability, do NOT give Granite Motors your business. More
