DO NOT try to Lease a car from this dealer!! In short, this dealer plays games with leasing, refusing to provide details of how they calculated the lease payments. They were quoting monthly amou In short, this dealer plays games with leasing, refusing to provide details of how they calculated the lease payments. They were quoting monthly amounts that were anywhere from $20 - $50 over what I calculated the payment should be. When I first went in there and test drove a Santa Fe, they came back with only a monthly payment. The sales rep gave me some story that it was the used car manager who came up with the number, and that I should probably accept it now because he thinks it wasn't calculated correctly and should be much higher. Sorry, I need to see the details behind the number. Next day, discussing a somewhat different configuration, they still came back with the same monthly payment as the day before, with no further detail. In subsequent days, despite the sales rep asking what he could do to earn my business, and me telling him that I needed to be comfortable with the lease calculation, still no detail. Eventually he came back and offered a lower lease payment, but on a lesser model than what I was looking for. When I said No Thanks to that offer, he came back and said the only other thing he could do was to sign me up as an Uber driver, which would get a $30/month discount. I'm thinking he was actually serious, but to me that was a joke and an insult. Bottom line: when it comes to leasing, this dealership is either incompetent or dishonest, or both. I'm sure there is lots of money to be made by a dealership writing leases and selling monthly payments to people who don't understand leasing terms. But, they will never make a dime off of me. I went down the street and dealt with an honest dealer who shared all of their leasing details with me, and they earned my business. More
