Technically this is not a dealership. It's a loan company that is owned by the dealership or something to that affect. Anyhow, I was reading the one review of this company and I too agree they are h company that is owned by the dealership or something to that affect. Anyhow, I was reading the one review of this company and I too agree they are horrible to deal with. GSAC is not a place you want to get a loan with. If you have poor credit and have no choice, it works, but I would rather buy a bicycle and ride that around than ever get another loan from these jokers. I have only had contact with Jennifer. Like the other person leaving a review of GSAC, she too mentions Jennifer. Jennifer is a very unfriendly person, who acts as though she is the one who financed the loan personally. If you are a day late, she calls and harasses you. Now, I realize it is her job to get the money in and a person is not supposed to be late on payments, but come on with this economy, isn't everyone late on something every once in a while? Like most lenders, they have sort of an unwritten rule anyway, I believe they give you 10 or 15 days of grace and then you have to pay a late fee. Which is pretty common and there is no problem with that. So to me, technically speaking the payment isn't really late until you have to pay the late fee as they call it. My experience with this company ane Jennifer has not been so great. Not only does she call me (it's my husban's loan) she calls my mother and last night a friend of mine. I do not want my friends and family to know my business, but in order to get the loan you had to provide references, so I guess that gives them the right to contact them? The last time I actually had the pleasure of speaking to Jennifer was about two weeks ago, January was late, but not even a month late, because it is due on the last day of the month. She had been leaving messages for me to call her, and yes I confess I ignored them, because this woman is so unpleasant to talk to unless you tell her what she wants to hear that I honestly do not want to talk to her. The messages start off nice or as nice as she gets and then they progressively get more and more rude. She says things like "you have to call me by 12 today" and "we are closing the books for the month, you have to pay by tomorrow at a certain time." The conversation I had with her was not very nice either. She told me that they she would just send the file for review, as if they would repo the car for not being a month late on the payments. So, then I figured out our finances, we had just moved into a new apartment and rent was due last week, so I left her message - basically told her to not get her panties in a bundle and that she would have January's payment on the 12th of this month. Which I know is extremely late, but when only one person works, it's kind of hard to save money. (by the way I lost my job almost two years ago and no more unemployment) So, she keeps calling me claiming that I haven't called her back, I have four times now and left her a message each time, same message - stating that she will have January on the 12th and Feb on the 19th. She hasn't called me much in the last week or so, so I assume she has recieved my messages, until she calls and says that she hasn't heard from me. I think she may be playing some sort of game now, because originally I wasn't calling her back. This woman has a serious problem. At any rate, I am tired of her phone calls and tired of her harassing my friends and family. Its only money and its not even her money. So please for your sake, if you are thinking of getting a car from Bill Kay Chevy (that is the dealer who uses GSAC) do not use GSAC for a loan. There are other dealers in Illinois that can help get you a much better deal, one for instance is Galarza Motor Sport in Crest Hill. It too is used cars, however the gentleman we talked to a few weeks ago was able to get us a payment of $257 a month and for a decent car. The only catch, a bigger down payment and if we had, had the money, we would've gone for it. For two reasons, cheaper payments and a nicer staff. The gentleman's name is Joel. So please think about that place first, they are much nicer. More
I have an account with GSAC and my experience has been good until my account representative was changed. Since I get multiple harrassing phone calls, I have asked for a manager or supervisor to give me a good until my account representative was changed. Since I get multiple harrassing phone calls, I have asked for a manager or supervisor to give me a call back and have yet to receive a call back. Also account is 26 days past due not in jeopardy of repo or a month behind Jennifer sent someone to my home....In addition her customer service, communication and not to lease grammer is very poor.
