While I understand that the vehicle was sold “As Is,” it is important to note that “As Is” does not negate the dealership’s responsibility to perform a thorough inspection prior to selling a vehicle to a customer. Within the first week of ownership, I experienced four separate issues, which strongly suggests these problems existed prior to the sale. Given the number and severity of issues that arose almost immediately, it is difficult to believe the vehicle was properly inspected before being sold. This also raises concerns regarding why an extended warranty was not offered at the time of purchase, as it appears the dealership may have been aware that repairs would be needed shortly after the sale. Additionally, the amount of time it has taken for me to speak with a manager to address these concerns has exceeded 48 hours. Having worked in customer service myself, I know this is not an acceptable response time and is not how customer trust or long-term relationships are maintained. I am not seeking unreasonable accommodations, but I do believe this situation warrants further consideration, as these issues occurred far too soon to be attributed to normal wear or customer use.
