I have never experienced a worse, or more frustrating car-buying experience. We contacted Greenville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram the night before traveling to the dealership about a specific vehicle. We w car-buying experience. We contacted Greenville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram the night before traveling to the dealership about a specific vehicle. We were told it was available, were encouraged to come get it, and negotiated and agreed upon a sales price. The next morning, I asked a few additional questions, received answers, and repeatedly communicated to our salesman that we were coming to get it and would be driving 3 hours round trip to purchase it. Therefore, I specifically told him that if someone else came in while we were on our drive there, to please let me know immediately so we could put down a deposit. We drove for 1 hour and 15 minutes and, with only about 15 minutes left to reach the dealership, our salesman texted us to tell us someone else had just arrived to look at the vehicle. I immediately called him and offered to put down a deposit, but was told that wasn’t allowed. We arrived and immediately went into the office and began the credit process— we didn’t even waste a spare minute to test drive it. We were then told they would sell the vehicle to whoever agreed to the numbers first. Since we had already agreed upon our numbers the night before, I assumed we were in good shape. Just a few minutes later, we were presented with an estimate containing approximately $2,000 in additional surprise charges for protection products that had never been discussed or included in the price we had agreed upon. This was especially frustrating given that the dealership advertises “transparent pricing and no hidden fees” on their website. I said we did not want or need those products and simply wanted to honor the price we had already agreed upon. Our salesman went back to his manager and returned offering to cut the protection products in half. I again said no—we didn’t want them and they were not part of our agreement. He went back to the manager again. The manager then came out and told us himself that the other customer had agreed to the numbers, so they were selling the vehicle to them instead. When we expressed our frustration and irritation regarding their misrepresentation, refusal to honor an agreement that was made prior to the other customer arriving, and driving 3 hours, that we would be sharing this experience with others, the manager simply walked out of the office and abruptly told us to “have a nice day.” What was most disappointing wasn’t simply losing the vehicle. It was being told it was available, agreeing on a price, repeatedly communicating that we were driving 3 hours round trip specifically to purchase it, being told a deposit wasn’t allowed, arriving at the dealership, and then being presented with approximately $2,000 in additional surprise fees before ultimately being told the vehicle was now being sold to someone else. This is the first review I’ve ever written, but the experience was so incredibly unacceptable that I felt all potential buyers needed to be made aware of the way they operate their business in the hopes they can avoid it for themselves. More

Have been using this dealership for at least 15 years now purchased 2 cars here. Always satisfied with my experience. Repair work is sometimes slow but you can’t control volume.
