This evening our current leased Passat had an error with the air bag that went off two hours after their service department had closed. I went in to speak to the GM Robert Klein and was immediately taken care of by him personally. He went above and beyond to get me a loaner car to last us through the weekend as we were set to go out of town the next morning. I previously worked for a VW dealership in Orlando and never saw such professionalism and customer service as I have seen through this dealership. I would highly recommend this dealership, because witnessing a GM run around and do the dirty work to ensure a customer who isn't even buying a car is taken care of made a believer out of me that this staff is in good hands. I also highly recommend David Butterly in service, a former Marine like myself he has always taken great care of all of my vehicles and never tried to upsell things that are unneeded. Great dealership! I will be back for another in 12 months. More

Repair and service review About a month ago My husband and I went to Gunther VW because we had a problem with the car starting. We had it towed in and they said we needed a new About a month ago My husband and I went to Gunther VW because we had a problem with the car starting. We had it towed in and they said we needed a new battery. While we were there, we had them activate a new key for us, which they did, but now the old key suddenly doesn't work and the hatch stopped opening with the key. They told me that the key was old. Now this is a key that worked the day before when I brought it the car in. They told me the hatch was old and needed to be replaced, again another thing that was working fine the day before. I took it to another dealer up in Stuart and he said take it back there and tell them to activate he key, there is nothing wrong with it. I did this and the dip wad guy started arguing with me and they finally took the car back to check on it for 4 hours, they did nothing and even told me they washed it. What a joke! this place is a huge joke, with people you can't trust working there. I wouldn't give them one star for service! Idiots is the word that comes to mind! More

John Shorter I will start out by saying I did not buy or lease a new 2014 VW from John, BUT... if I were to lease or buy a car from Gunther VW, it would only be th I will start out by saying I did not buy or lease a new 2014 VW from John, BUT... if I were to lease or buy a car from Gunther VW, it would only be thru John Shorter! My daughter and I were shopping for a new VW convertible lease a couple of months ago. I called John because I was receiving friendly letters from him reminding me of our current lease end and to contact him should I be interested in re-leasing a new VW. Out of interest, I did call and we had a great conversation without feeling the pressure of having to do anything. We kept the communication going and finally came in to look at the car, test drive it and run some numbers. We explained from the beginning that we wanted to think about it and might not be ready for a few days or a few weeks. John, being a great salesperson, kept his distance, but also gently followed up about a week later. It was during this time that we decided the VW convertible was not the car we wanted. Now, you might ask why am I praising John... well... he is different from other car salespeople I have worked with. For one thing, he is knowledgable of the VW cars - all of them. He knew the cars and explained them accurately. Second, although we did not lease a new VW, his proposed numbers for the car we would have leased, were within striking distance of where my daughter and I wanted to be. Third, I found him to be honest. He was more concerned about helping you/guiding you to the car you wanted vs. the car he wanted to sell you. I believe someday, I will lease or purchase another VW and John will be the only person I call - Period! More
