Usually my experience is amazing. This time was a disaster. I dropped my 2021 Soul off for an oil change at 9:00 and promised at 11:00. I called at 1:00pm to find out if it was ready This time was a disaster. I dropped my 2021 Soul off for an oil change at 9:00 and promised at 11:00. I called at 1:00pm to find out if it was ready and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I called back and was put on hold THIS TIME however the service writer Dulce would pick up and put me back on hold. I called back a third time and spent another 15 minutes on hold. I called back a FOURTH time and asked to speak to someone who would actually answer the phone. I spoke to a customer relations person who said he was call me back, but he never did. Dulce finally called and said my car was ready except for the wheel alignment--that I did not authorize--I told her I specifically when I dropped the car off that I did not want an alignment. At 4:00pm I finally got my car. Haddad Kia needs someone in service that can answer the phone and see the status of all cars. It is not OK to put someone on hold for more than 3-5 minutes. Answer the damned phone! More
So my experience with this dealership was subpar. After having a poor experience with a different Kia dealership because how they treated me I decided to come to Bakersfield Kia instead. A few things here; First off, when arriving the service associates were very friendly, but not very knowledgeable of my car. When I questioned the service advisor about the oil change of $124 I was told that my K5 GT with the sports package 1 took up to 8 quarts, which the book states 6.1 quarts. And that I also didn’t need the recommended “synthetic oil” like my book states in section 9-9. That was the price for regular conventional oil. Now I am not a mechanic, but if my book states it’s recommended that synthetic oil be used on the vehicle I expect it to be used. Kia moved to synthetic oil a while back to prolong the life of their engines. After getting home I noticed on my paperwork in which you have a copy that only 5 quarts of oil was used… So is there enough oil in the engine and if so is it the correct type of engine oil??? Also after getting home I noticed the hook of the car to have oil finger prints from the service. I hope this wasn’t a dig at me because I didn’t want to pay extra for a car wash… Look, if a book recommends something it should be followed that way. And if something were to happen to the car or the engine itself, I will be holding Kia 100% responsible for the damages. This is just basic feedback from me. I hope you guys can do a better job next time. More

Took care of a recall my Stinger had and provided me with a loan car so that the work could be completed without putting me out too much. No working A/C, person kept trying to upsell and he didn’t even know what to say. It was unnecessary and I felt that he didn’t even care about his job. She was the nicest one. More
