I will never buy or lease a car from Haldeman again. Service Manager asked for unnecessary repairs to be done. Service Manager claimed my battery was bad and going to fail soon. Also claimed I needed a new engine air filter. When I got home I checked my batter with my multimeter. It is very healthy with 12.74 Volts and 14.7 volts cranking voltage. Also, I changed my engine air filter a month ago and it is very clean. I bought a use 2017 Subaru, sales rep was Geo. Few good things and others in need of improvement. Geo was a very nice person as many car salesmen I met in my life and soon told me to take care of me on my things and others in need of improvement. Geo was a very nice person as many car salesmen I met in my life and soon told me to take care of me on my buying experience. I was what is consider, a perfect buyer. I knew exactly the car I wanted, perfect credit score, not a hassler on price and 1st and only customer at that time. What it should be a couple hours deal, unfortunately turned into 8 hours of waiting and waiting on every step in the process. Geo was super motivated to do everything but as people start to show up, he end up either wanting or told to do other customers at the same time. Btw, not a busy day! I only blame Geo in part after seen through the 8 hours in the dealership, 3 well dressed, clean haircuts guy seating on the Subaru’s show room long desk, just chilling there while Geo is running back and for working with multiple customers, including me. They saw me in the morning ( 1st person through the door and during the 8 hours there) and none of them care to ask if everything was ok. I guess, I didn’t qualify as priority customer for buy a $17 K used Subaru. Then, the financial came... 5.60% Geo said as great news! Unfortunately for them, within the long 8 hours of just waiting, I did my own car loan that only toke 2 min to get it approved at 3.09% with a well known bank. ( perfect credit does not count there) they didn’t even bother to try to match. I had a few things requested to be fix on the car. AC was not working, car was not properly clean ( a lot dog hair ), and the arm rest to be replace. All was taken care quickly but the arm rest replacement had to be ordered by Geo and I have to come back for it ( which it’s ok ). Two weeks passed of no phone call. I called Geo to check on the status of the part. He told me it’s been there for a week already ( if I don’t call, they never do ). Geo told to just go to service for replacement at a time and date. I drove 45 mins to find out he never ordered anything. Service Dept people were really nice and toke care of me by a 2nd appointment after THEY ordered the replacement. 2 stars are as fair I can be if I compare with other dealerships but I can see a window for improvements. More

Thanks to a freak hail storm my Forester needs work. They called me later that day to say the person in collisions was not in and they could not look at it until Monday. I did not here from them by 11 am, so I called and spoke to a women to remind them my car was still there and she said she would call me back. By about 3:30 pm, I called again and explained to Kenny how I was waiting on an estimate for damages. He explained they did not know my car was there, but he would locate it and call me back. He called me back a few minutes later, to let me know they found my car and they would have it ready for me by the time I picked it up. Thankfully he did.....Thank you Kenny. More
