Bought an Equinox from them several years ago. Have had the vehicle into their service department 6 times because whenever it rains the spare tire well fills with water, a problem they've never fixed. Finally after a downpour, water splashed out of the well and shorted out the lock on the rear hatch. There is no manual release on the door so it can't be opened. That's a huge problem for me since I am disabled and store my chair in the back. Took it to Jacobs and they said it was normal wear and tear and since it was no longer under warranty it would cost me almost $600 to fix it even though they were too incompetent to fix the problem with the leak . We had a wonderful experience with Stephen Durham. He was very knowledgeable and easy to speak with. He went to great lengths to ensure our experience buying a new car was positive. However, to our great displeasure, the check engine light on our brand new 2013 Malibu went on 6 days after purchase. We then had to take the vehicle to a local dealer because Joliet is too far away to drive with the check engine light on, and we didn't want our car towed that far either. The car was in the shop for 4 days because the transmission control module was shorted out, we were told. We did not have a good experience at Sunrise Chevrolet when they promised our car would be back to us in 3 days, and when we called to check on our car we either received an attitude from the man working with us or he had "went home early for the day". Sunrise Chevrolet seemed to put our car at the end of their to-do list because we hadn't purchased it there. They even asked us why we didn't take it back to Joliet as if they didn't prefer to have our business. More
Chris called me with an offer to trade up to a new vehicle. He was very straightforward as to the reason for the offer as well as the numbers. I really don't like the vehicle buying experience, but they made it truly enjoyable. No arguing, no pressure - just honest answers and a lot of effort to make the deal better than I had thought possible. I look forward to working with them in the future. More

I ended up walking out with a 2012 Chevorlet Malibu thanks to James Wolff and the rest of the sales/finance department here at Bill Jacobs. Every associate I ran into would offer a beverage, to answer questions or keep me updated throughout the entire trade in and purchasing process. James Wolff definitely met EVERY criteria of sales that I wanted plus more. I will DEFINITELY refer every one and any one I know, or may not know to this dealership.
