Beware of additional services they ask to add on for “free”. I scheduled an appointment for an oil changed and was called a few days after to ask if I wanted free windshield wipers. I did not need them “free”. I scheduled an appointment for an oil changed and was called a few days after to ask if I wanted free windshield wipers. I did not need them but agreed to it because they would do it on the same day. I had an email for a discounted oil change otherwise I never would have scheduled my appointment. The sales rep for Hawk did not inform me this was a coupon based “free” gift. When I shows up for my appointment, I misunderstood the technician when he said the cost would be $69 for the oil change. I thought he said $16.99 which was around the price of my coupon. I was surprised when I went to pay for the service and he stated it was $75 (ish) dollars. He stated I could only use one coupon per transaction and the wipers were a coupon. I didn’t know any of that before hand otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten the wipers. So realistically they’re not free. He said I could take the coupons off for the wipers but it would be $50 for a service I didn’t even need. This is why I do not have any service done at dealerships because it is too pricey. The technician did write a note that I could use my coupon beyond the expiration date but who knows if that will work. Side note, this survey is impossible because I don’t remember the technicians name or anyone that helped me as my service was almost a month ago. More
