When I got there I was talked to by a couple people who took time to listen to my concerns. They got the problem fixed and I was able to get my car back the same day. Everyone was super nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Hawk Chevy. More

Only two complaints are the cost of an oil change and I always get a coupon in the mail for the service I just had done. The coupon always expires prior to needing that service again. Since the coupon is always specific to the service I just had it seems pretty intentional that Hawk hands out useless coupons just to look good. More

Unfortunately I had my fairly young pup with me during my last service appointment. (Pup KNEW I was leaving the house and let me know how he felt about it.). Your staff was very cordial and the dog was on go last service appointment. (Pup KNEW I was leaving the house and let me know how he felt about it.). Your staff was very cordial and the dog was on good behavior. Hawk was able to get me in and out within about an hour. Really appreciated that, especially as my drive to Hawk is about 50 minutes one way. More

I was in for an oil change and a recalibration. Backstory - I had a crack in my windshield and it was going to cost me around $1,000 to replace it. I found a place in Joliet to do it for just under Backstory - I had a crack in my windshield and it was going to cost me around $1,000 to replace it. I found a place in Joliet to do it for just under $300. After it was done the rear view camera was not working and they informed me that since the car was so new I would have to go to the dealership to have the camera recalibrated. I made my appointment and while I do not recall the name of the woman on the phone, I do know that I stated it was the rear view camera and it needed to be recalibrated and asked how much this would cost me. I am a widow and single mother of 3 children so I live on a very tight budget. I was quoted $200 and it took me 2 months to save that money to get this done. After my appointment I paid what was due and upon entering the vehicle I realized the camera was still not working. I spoke with Angus who told me the recalibration had nothing to do with that camera (he said they calibrated the front camera, not the back camera) and he would have someone look at the rear view camera. After they discovered a wire had been cut and taped together it would cost me $1420 to replace the mirror. I do not know where the wire was cut, it could have been at the windshield repair, it could have been at my appointment on Monday, I could have purchased it that way. What I am extremely unhappy about is the fact that the recalibration was completed on a camera it was not needed for. The front camera was working FINE. When I expressed this to Angus he told me that it was still done so I had to pay for it. I assumed the tech would look at the car before performing the recalibration and if they had looked at the car, they would have saw the front camera was working fine, but Angus told me that they don't look, they just do what they are told. Seems negligent to work on a car you didn’t diagnose first ??? I realize that I am a female and don’t know cars so I was mislead or I misunderstood what needed to be done, since I am new to having to deal with my vehicle (My late husband would take it in whenever it needed something), however I made it clear when scheduling and upon arrival that I needed it recalibrated for the rear view camera and I feel I was taken advantage of, talked down to, and am now out the $200 that it took me 2 months to save for, with no sympathy from the service advisor. I left the shop with the rear view mirror disassembled (Angus told me I needed to leave it off to avoid loosening the wires - why does that matter if I have to replace the entire thing???), in tears and completely taken advantage of.
