WARNING: Do NOT buy from Hedrick’s Chevrolet in Clovis. I purchased a 2018 Chevy Colorado with about 90k miles in January 2026, and within just 70 days, the vehicle had been in the shop three separate t I purchased a 2018 Chevy Colorado with about 90k miles in January 2026, and within just 70 days, the vehicle had been in the shop three separate times. The check engine light came on within the first 30 days of ownership. When I contacted Hedrick’s service department, I was instructed to take the truck to Merced Chevrolet for a diagnostic evaluation. I was told that my warranty would cover the diagnostic and that next steps would be determined once the issue was identified. However, after taking the truck in, I was informed that the vehicle had preexisting issues and that the warranty would not cover the diagnostic because it does not take effect until 30 days after purchase. I had no choice but to pay the $500 diagnostic fee just to retrieve my vehicle and bring it back to Hedrick’s for repairs. After nearly a week, their service department claimed the issue was fixed, replacing an O2 sensor and exhaust gasket. Exactly one week later, the check engine light came back on. I contacted Hedrick’s again and was told to bring it back in. After another week in the shop, they stated repairs were completed, this time replacing another O2 sensor and the purge valve. Within three weeks, the check engine light and traction control light came on again. The truck began shaking and rattling and became undriveable. I contacted Hedrick’s service department once more and spoke with Marty, who advised me to have the vehicle towed to American Chevrolet in Modesto, stating that my warranty would cover repairs there and that Hedrick’s would coordinate with them. A few days later, I was informed by American Chevrolet that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced, but the repair was not covered under the warranty. When I followed up with Marty to understand my options, he referred me to the manager, Tanner Hedrick. I attempted to contact him multiple times, left a message, and never received a response. It took Amerian Chevrolet several phone calls and messages before Marty at Hedricks service department retuned their calls stating they would cover the diagnostic but not the repairs. At this point, I have no choice but to pay $3,000 out of pocket for repairs. I was sold a warranty policy under the understanding that repairs could be covered and completed at any Chevrolet dealership, which has not proven to be the case. I will also be filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau, DMV, Federal Trade Commission, and the Bureau of Automotive Repair. More

He answered all my questions, took the time to explain all my questions to me, took notes of all my concerns on the vehicle I was looking at and most importantly, he made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I felt like a part of the dealership family after I left. Key thing about Jeff as a salesman, definitely not a pushy and rude person at all unlike 99% of the other salesman I have encountered during the search of my new vehicle, will be coming back here for a new vehicle when the wife and I am ready for another. Having 5 adult Children and buying multiple vehicles from Hendricks over the years, it's sad to see the old man's dreams resort to this. After a horrible experience buying my dream truck (2021 6.2 trailboss) in December of 2020, I vowed to never buy a vehicle from them again. I took the gamble on the dreaded "lifter issue" and lost. At 27k miles my 6.2 crapped out, luckily still under warranty I contact Hedricks and am assigned to service rep 'Logan'. He gave me an appt for the following week. I have my truck towed to the service department on 7/3. I receive a call from Logan that he got the truck and will get tech started on it. Next day received another call from Logan that motor needs to be replaced, will be 2 weeks minimum. I asked for a loaner vehicle and he stated he would put me in line as they did not have any. 7 days later I reached out for an update on my truck as well as a loaner vehicle. Logan stated he may have a vehicle for me, and truck would be another week and a half to completion. I pick up loaner on 7/12, then on 7/14 receive a call that my truck is done. Amazed, I call and ask if I could pick up the following day. (Saturday). Logan said yes. I ask him what the warranty on the new motor was, he stated 36k month( which is false) small print on back of receipt clearly states 24 month . I arrive Saturday to pick up truck and am greeted with - sign here, call sericev dept on Monday if you have any questions or concerns. I do a quick walk around by melf and don't see anything standing out at me besides a bunch of greases all over my front fenders. ( they clearly don't care about your asset) I get home and do a deeper look and find that I have scratches and scuffs on my front bumper from tech standing on it to work in engine bay, as well as my felt liner in the wheel well did not get put back together properly causing it to flap back and get shredded by the tire. I reached out to Logan the following Monday as I was instructed. Logan responded stating they did not touch the front part of liner only the rear part. And they would not replace it, and went on to give me a quote for $500 to replace it. I guess i have idiot written on my face. Logan would not even acknowledge the scratches or grease. I even offered to take care of the cut and polish of bumper and remove grease if they would replace the liner, and was just they did not touch the liner. .....I WAS happy to get the truck back in 12 days, but after seeing the craftsman ship as well as ownership of work, I'm concerned I got a xxxx box back and now the new motor is 24month instead of 36..... long story short... they don't give a xxxx about the customer, go somewhere else, I promise. More

Took 1.4l Cruze in for diagnostic. Told them there’s lots of info on web regarding GM bulletin PIP5197 oil leak. Charged me $165 to do a diagnostic. (No s#\¥ Sherlock) and They needed to charge another $165 to do an oil leak test. give less than one star if possible. absolutely garbage service center. More

They missed a simple fuel filter, even when I told them the accelerator misses a bit. The heat and fan dials do not work properly, but did before I took my truck to them for a battery drain diagnoses. I had just left Hedrick's garage, and was stranded on fwy 99 for 4 hours due to a faulty fuel pump. They would not pay for the towing. I had another garage fix it in the nearest city once my insurance towing was called. It still cost me $260. out of pocket for the tow. I had the passenger door lock repaired after a theft attempt. When I picked up my truck from Hedrick's, the key would not open the lock when I inserted it. They tore out my LoJack for a strain on the electrical saying that was the drain. Well, I still have the drain, and now NO LoJack anti-theft. They could not reinstall it. I could go on...They have a great talk and smile a lot, but cannot fix a truck to save their lives. More
