Buyer Beware. Go somewhere else. On Friday, 11-01-2019, I bought a 2015 Chevy Corvette from Hendrick Chevy in Hoover, AL. I am 50 years old and have bought many big-ticket items over On Friday, 11-01-2019, I bought a 2015 Chevy Corvette from Hendrick Chevy in Hoover, AL. I am 50 years old and have bought many big-ticket items over the years and my experience with Hendrick Chevy was absolutely the worst buying experience of a big-ticket item in my entire life. I drove 250 miles and arrived at approx. 12:30 PM and did not leave until a little after 8:00 PM. Yes, almost 8 hours to buy a car. Ridiculous. I really wanted this Vette or I would have walked away many times because there were many issues. Started off, even after calling about the price listed on the internet, they initially were not going to honor the price on the internet. During the almost 8 hours, being a former Owner of a Kawasaki, Arctic Cat, Cub Cadet, and Other Lines Dealership, I observed several areas of total mismanagement. Finished off, besides not receiving a drive out tag until I was finally driving back home, we negotiated floor mats on a 2015 Vette. I made the assumption that we were talking about floor mats worthy of a 2015 Vette and NOT generic floor mats that looks like they belong in a truck or other outdoor off-road vehicle. I even offered to pay a little more to upgrade to floor mats worthy of a 2015 Vette, but since they took so long with the entire process, the parts department was already closed. So far, the 2015 Vette gets a 5 out of 5. Devin Alexson, Salesperson, gets a 4.75 out of 5. He was great, very nice, and very professional except leaving me for long periods of time during the sales process. Anthony Dawson, allegedly Sales Manager, gets a 1 out of 5. He was nice but not very professional. He looked like and acted like he had very little experience on selling Autos. Plus kept wanting my signature on his scratch paper. Plus once the sale was made, he vanished and never helped me again even though I asked him several times. Shameka Montgomery, Finance Manager, gets a 0 out of 5. First, took me almost one and half hours from the end of the sales process with Devin and Anthony to be called into the finance office. She belittled me with her BS sales pressure. Not saying the exact word, but basically said I was stupid for not protecting my investment. She tried to charge me approx. $300 above the agree out the door price. She tried to include a Hendrick Maintenance plan and not the GM Certified Pre-Own Plan accepted Nationwide. She did not provide me with a drive out tag. She never gave me any finance options. Service Department gets a 0 out of 5. They knew about 3:30 PM that the front-end needed aligned, it needed to be clean up, and I had a four-hour trip ahead of me. Took them over four hours to get the Vette ready for me. Still waiting on the Service History report of everything they did to the Vette. The Dealership gets a 0 out of 5. They took almost 8 hours from start to finish for me to buy an auto. That is ridiculous. Plus, advertising one price but then trying to charge a much higher price. Plus the generic floor mats. Plus falsely advertising great and excellent service. I say total BS. Overall. I gave a 1 out of 5, mainly because it will not let me give them a 0 out of 5. But the 2015 Vette is great. Devin was mostly great. The rest of the process was horrible, some of the employees I came in contact with seem like they did not care, overall dealership sucked, not honoring the internet price, trying to not give me the GM CPO program, trying to over charge me during the signing of the paperwork, etc. Buyer beware. Go somewhere else. More
