When has anyone ever walked into a car dealership and actually wanted to knowing what awaited them in trying to 'make a deal'....one may think this is a paid commercial....it's ain't....that's right, I'm southern and a physician to boot....was driving a broken 2010 Silverado on Sunday evening, July 12, 2015, after visiting friends in TN. I had just made a 6 hour drive from Bathe Springs, thru Florence...Muscle Shoals...Cullman....Decator...down I-65 to Hendrick's of Hoover...all at 40 mph and 3,000 rpm to keep the engine from over-revving while the wife was on the smart phone trying to find someone open for a truck repair or trade with high gear gone....watching the rear-view on the interstate while barely maintaining minimum speed on the interstate trying to keep from getting run over...at 5p.m. on SUNDAY EVENING just before closing I walked in and said, "I need a truck." Some physicians may be rich, this one isn't....but that is the reason my wife and I both had to be home for 7 a.m. the next morning to return to work in a small town...Eufaula, AL. I was introduced to a client advisor, Darryl Fuhrman who undoubtedly has to be one of the kindest men I have ever met....(please don't change Darryl) and when I couldn't afford a new one he involved two other men...Jody Marsxen(sales manager) and Chris Bell(financial manager) and needless to say we had a ride home to Eufaula and to work the next morning. While I am sure lots of folks have bought trucks I bet none have in the fashion these men did the job! While trying to access bank records and couldn't, talking to my banker, multiple inquiries and resources...it looked hopeless and I even had patients from Eufaula offering a a 'ride' home as they were passing through! Quitting time came and went...Chris put his wife and family on hold for a dinner date...Darryl worked tirelessly into what stretched into darkness...and Jody stayed close to assist. At 9:30 p.m. they are were trying to let me detail the buy before I left for home after transferring luggage from a weeklong trip and a broken transmission....I said no....I just want to be on the road and in my bed so they gave me an "IOU" if and when I make it back to Hoover....so thoughtful! We made it to bed in Eufaula at two a.m. after unpacking and to work on time the next day!....it's not that the trip was successful but that there are people that still care and didn't leave their post until someone they didn't know was well cared for! ....if the NASCAR driver Hendrick really does have ownership in this business, or whoever in Hoover,AL or elsewhere...take note...the above named individuals need recognition in such an HONORABLE way....they are a TRUE ASSET and when Wanda's vehicle need's replacing, I want to break down in Hoover a the Hendrick Dealership! I asked Darryl Fuhrman when the 2016 Volts would be arriving and he told me 4th quarter and asked me if I would be interested in a 2015. since there was going to be at least a 3 month gap between when my lease was up and the 2016s would be available I told him I would be interested if the price was right. A while later I drove home in a 2015 Volt. Darryl worked very hard to make it happen. More

Friendly but VERY SLOW!! We stopped at Hendrix to see a used car parked near the street. All the people were very friendly, but they were also VERY slow. It took a long time for the salesman to find the price of the car. We waited on them to find the key so we could do a test drive. We made up our minds quickly, but that was the only thing that was fast. We waited on the car to be detailed; we waited on the finance guy (which we thought would be the fast part since we were making a cash purchase). We signed form after form after form after form!! Then we waited on them to bring the car around so we could leave. It really shouldn't take all day to buy a car especially since there's no finance paperwork to do. We like the car, but we most likely won't do business here again. More

I set it up, two hours before I was supposed to be there I noticed the truck had been removed from the online inventory, so I called to confirm it was still available, spoke to the sales manager, he readily confirmed it's availability and looked forward to seeing me. I arrived only to learn they had wholesaled the vehicle. He lied to get me to the lot and attempt to sell me something more costly! Wasted four hours of my time, and a half tank of gas. More

BUT in just a short time came "the call". You know its the call that they cant sell this car for that price and need more money. Buyer beware this is not a very good business practice and am very disappointed that this dealership falls into this category. More
Impressed with Service Department I did not purchase my vehicle from Hendrick, but it is the closest Chevy dealership to me. Therefore, I decided to use them for my service and mainte I did not purchase my vehicle from Hendrick, but it is the closest Chevy dealership to me. Therefore, I decided to use them for my service and maintenance. I usually can tell by a service department if I want to do future business with a dealership (i.e. purchase another vehicle). I will certainly continue to use this dealership for all my vehicle needs. Their Service Department was friendly and efficient. I could not have asked for a better experience. More
