I can’t explain how disappointed I am with my service here. I dropped my car off for a warranty repair to the rear differential of my car. April at the front desk told me they would have the insurance ad here. I dropped my car off for a warranty repair to the rear differential of my car. April at the front desk told me they would have the insurance adjuster come out and look at my car within the next couple of days (remember this for later.) A week goes by and I haven’t heard anything back. I call Hendrick and ask what the status of my car is. They state I gave them the wrong phone number so they couldn’t reach out to me. Okay, seems reasonable my bad right? They say they found the issue with the differential and another issue that wasn’t covered by the warranty. They then state they will try to get the insurance adjuster out to see if the insurance company will cover the repair. Weird, I thought we had already done that but okay we proceed. This game of cat and mouse continues for weeks. I’m only ever called twice in a month about my car. The 6 other times we were in contact with them we either had to call them or go to the service center. At one point even the insurance company was like “look, even we are waiting to hear back from the dealership.” Eventually after a month of the car just sitting in the parking lot April calls me only for the second time to tell me my coverage was denied. I find this strange so I call the insurance company immediately. The insurance company says they haven’t denied coverage at all, rather they were still deliberating on a decision (and eventually they did approve the repair.) So, all in all I really think April was lying to me just get the car out of her parking lot because she wasn’t going to make a lot of money off this repair. Whether that’s true or not doesn’t really matter. I went in and picked up my still broken car and paid their service fee out of pocket just for them to tell me something I already knew was wrong with the car. Thanks for nothing April. Everyone else interacted with at the dealership was great and was genuinely trying to help. April can kick rocks. More
My Dodge Hornet was towed to Hendrick Dodge of Cary on December 19 for an electrical issue following a horrible experience where my car suddenly died coming off of a highway exit. After weeks without my v December 19 for an electrical issue following a horrible experience where my car suddenly died coming off of a highway exit. After weeks without my vehicle, I finally received it back on January 9. My service advisor then never even called me to tell me that my car was ready or provided any updates. When I got to the dealer, I was advised that because I had an open claim with Chrysler the service department was not allowed to speak to me and stated I was only able to speak to the Chrysler case manager. After receiving the car, I discovered new problems that were not present when I dropped it off......and the best EMPTY WATER BOTTLES LEFT IN MY CAR!!!! The power steering felt completely different, to the point where it felt as though I barely had power steering at all. Additionally, my passenger-side bumper was damaged, and the service department claimed they had no idea what I was referring to despite the vehicle having no damage when I dropped it off. To make matters worse, I never received a direct phone call from my service advisor, Cameron, explaining what was wrong with my vehicle. Instead, I received a video message stating they had discovered an issue with the power steering where it lost touch with the module causing it to need calibration. He then stated it had been “fixed.” This issue absolutely should have been identified during the initial test drive after the first repair. The vehicle had been driven over 40 miles while in their possession, and for such a major steering issue to go unnoticed is extremely concerning and speaks volumes about the caliber of the repair work being performed. I was then informed that my vehicle would need to go into the body shop for the bumper damage....damage that occurred while the car was in their care. After expressing my anger and frustration to the service advisor Cameron who by the way is a joke of an advisor, I was later contacted by the sales manager, Luis, who showed no empathy, provided incorrect information about service department hours, and was dismissive throughout the conversation. When I asked to speak with my original sales manager, Matt who knew me well from when I purchased my vehicle and my sons as well, Luis told me that I didn’t know him and that he no longer worked there. Being told I “didn’t know” someone I personally worked with was not only false, but extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Luis is a poor representation of what a sales manager should be, and his attitude only added to an already unacceptable situation. I don’t know what to expect from a dealership group that sells vehicles to ICE, but I absolutely do expect my vehicle to not be damaged when I bring it in for repairs — and I expect honest, professional communication. Due to the mishandling of my vehicle, lack of accountability, and disrespectful treatment, I am now filing formal complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and Hendrick Automotive Group corporate. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in Hendrick Dodge of Cary. I strongly caution anyone considering servicing or purchasing a vehicle here. More
Lack of communication from the service department. Had my vehicle for 2.5 weeks for a repair. I realize there was holidays in there, but that should not affect the 1 day ship time on the part required Had my vehicle for 2.5 weeks for a repair. I realize there was holidays in there, but that should not affect the 1 day ship time on the part required. Repair went through Hendrick warranty and it took them 3 business days and calls from upper management on both sides to get it straightened out. They would cover it but needed pictures and refused to send someone out. Issue is internal to the fuel tank, so it's impossible to get pictures of. Went a week with no update, tried to call, told I would get a priority call back, ended up getting a text 90 minutes later with no information in it. It got fixed and they did their best at the end to get it done and get me a 1 day rental at the end. They tried, but in my opinion failed. Unfortunately, this seems pretty on par with the industry though. There is also a smell of gasoline inside the cabin that won't go away, probably from someone working on the fuel system and then getting inside, seems to be in the upholstery. More
Taylor Davis was my salesperson and Chris was the manager. I'm pleased with my interaction overall and would shop here again. Straightforward and no xx, fair deals on the truck and trade in. manager. My service advisors, Ethan and then, Brevik were great. They kept me in the loop. Disappointed that my truck was there for one and a half months, and I never received a loaner.
