This is only the 4th vehicle I ever purchased in my 49 years of driving and my second Honda. My first Honda, a 2011 CRV served me well. In the six years I had it, I put 120,000 miles on it with nothing but regular maintenance. I had some great adventures with that car. Impulsively,I purchased a Silver Nissan Frontier because I like trucks. I had no idea trucks rode so rough! I got a workout just turning the wheel! I promptly had the windows tinted to block that piercing Florida sun and a rear backing camera installed. After about 8 months the enchantment I felt earlier for the Frontier vanished. I started looking for another CRV, but this little HR-V caught my eye and with it's ultra low mileage for a car two years old, I needed to look at it. It handles really well. I love the color! The only thing is the ground clearance. I have long legs, I prefer a higher clearance, but am very adaptable. Francis Alcazaren was the first person to greet us. I was there with my buddy Rick. I told him I was interested in the blue HR-V. He was very positive and quicky brought the car out for us to try. Except for the ground clearance I mentioned earlier, I liked the car. I had to be back home before the deal could be closed. I put a deposit down and Rick and I left. Later that afternoon I returned to Hendrick Honda and was greeted by Francis again and introduced to Marc Harris, who helped draw up the offer. Except for some scratches on the front bumper, I knew the Frontier was sound. I thought I had done my research and gotten a KBB offer ready on my phone to show to Marc, but little did I know, I shot any hope for a higher trade in value right in my foot when I showed him the quote. Buyer error. Marc mentioned tires looked worn, but I beg to differ, there is lots of wear and tear on those tires. This was obviously a selling maneuver that I was new to. Buying a car is not something I enjoy doing. The final process was with Brian Smith who filled out the paperwork electronically with me and did another upsell on me. I didn't know if I needed extra coverage or not with a car with such low miles, but he made it sound like I needed it, so I went for it hook, line and sink her. Hendrick Honda did their job. I can only blame myself for not seeing the value of my Nissan Frontier was so much higher than the KBB value because it did not include all the extras that made it a better truck. I am disappointed but life goes on. I have a cute little car that's fun to drive, great on gas, and easy to park. The Nissan Frontier was a learning experience that I don't need to repeat. More
