I was disappointed in the service department. We took the car in because the fuel door wouldn’t open. We were there for about two and a half hours before being told the part needed to be ordered. The lat the car in because the fuel door wouldn’t open. We were there for about two and a half hours before being told the part needed to be ordered. The latch was temporarily fixed with tie wraps. Bill was $180. Was told a few days later the part was in. After more than two hours we were told the wrong part was ordered. The following week the deal took the car for the day and made the repairs. The cost was $280. So for $460 and three hours days of inconvenience we had a broken plastic grommet replaced. If Ford and the dealership had a same day part system the repair could have been accomplished on the first visit. It seems like I paid a $200 penalty because the part was not in stock. I requested a complimentary oil change as a compensation but was told the deal picking up the car the third day was compensation enough. More
