We learned upon arrival from Julie, salesperson, vehicle was sold to a woman who was scheduled to see it at 11am Sun., 90 min. before we were scheduled to arrive for our 12:30 time. Neither she nor Mo, finance manager, were honest enough to tell us the woman had called for an appointment the day before and instead, simply explained "she just happened to drop in". General Manager Dana informed us her appointment was made Sat.8/13 24 hrs. after I scheduled mine Fr. 8/12. In fact Julie called me Sat. pm at 3:30 to tell me what her manager offered for my trade in vehicle and never spoke a word about about it. No effort was made to notify us, as a courtesy, despite our long journey. When I called and offered a deposit 24 hrs before my appointment, I was told.."you'll be fine." It truly casts HC sale staff in the classic mold of "used car salespeople". Apologies were superficial, defensive and disingenuous. I want Herb Chambers to know how his employee's behavior today undermines his so called reputable image. I know they are in business to sell vehicles, and have the right to sell to sell on a first come first serve basis, but I am offended to know that this staff blatantly and patently violates ethical practice and common decency. It leads me to believe they customarily draw out customers in the belief they might sell additional vehicles (which they offered me) despite personal hardships incurred. Thanks for the opportunity to be heard (or read in this case). More

I was told he "1st annual service" for my 2015 Honda CRV Touring would run less than $100 and would only require "an hour or two." Imagine my surprise when I learned I would spend at least 3 hours in this uncustomer friendly environment and spend almost $500 on service. They apologized about the "confusion." Here I am 24 hours later waiting again in this shoddy space bcause they managed to screw up my vhicle. I broght in a car that ran perfectly. Despite paying for an alignment my vehicle now pulls to the left. Shoddy if not incomprtent service to say the least. They seem to have no concern for or understanding that my time is valuable. So here I sit ... Again. I'll find somone else to service my vehicle in the future. More

My first call is to inquiry the availability of Lunar Silver Exterior with Gray Interior Honda Odyssey for Lease. Online it was showing in Westborough location, I called the westborough location number but the operator directed me to Boston sales office based on my Zip Code. The sales person take my inquiry and responded back if I would like to test ride the car, they have another car in their location and asks me to come to office. After I reach the office, he introduced another grumpy face who will take care of my request. I showed him the car which I'm looking in their website. But the Gray interior car is only located in Westborough. But he said, this car was not in that location and it is in our another location due to lack of space in the building. After negotiating the numbers for lease. I again mentioned I need Lunar Silver with Gray interior. He said "Yes" every time I mentioned. This was the 4th time, I mentioned. Finally I signed on the agreement. And the car is delivered at 8.20 PM yesterday, he showed the car and came home. I pickup the vehicle specs paper found in the car and read that print in home at 11 pm and realize that it was a Truffle interior car which I dont want. Next day, I called the sales man and asked the first question, "On the day 1, when I met you I requested the Lunar Silver with Gray Interior. Correct?". He said Yes. And then I told I got the Truffle interior car. He replied "yes, that is what we have". Then I said why didnot you mention this to me, I asked you specifically the gray interior one. He said, at the time of delivery why didnot you check this. I said "it was 8.20 PM, extremely low light condition, I cannot recognize the interior color properly". After some arguments he started saying, we never discuss about interior color before. He also said, you already sign the agreement, so we cannot do anything for you. This is how my story ends. This is how some of the sales man will work. Even in the agreement the interior color doesnot mentioned anywhere. I'm not happy what I got and especially the feeling of being cheated by a salesman. More

Would not recommend at all I was in the market for a car for my wife and found a used Mercedes Benz at HC Honda. I called and set up an appointment for a Wednesday evening meeti I was in the market for a car for my wife and found a used Mercedes Benz at HC Honda. I called and set up an appointment for a Wednesday evening meeting. After fighting Boston traffic we took the car on a test drive and sat down with the salesperson. I already own one Mercedes so I am familiar with the brand, I asked the salesperson about different options listed on the car that he couldn't , but he would get one of the other salespersons who were more knowledgeable about Mercedes to call me, I said fine, I am available after 3:00 pm. A client care specialist called my house at 12:30 to follow up with me and see how everything went. Long story short, I asked to put a deposit down on the car so my wife and I could go home and discuss the purchase. The salesperson had to go ask about deposits (they don't do that), when I finally talked with the specialist on Saturday morning I asked about an option that had a part missing, he said he would check on it and get back with me. At 3:15 I received the following email: "Wanted to send you guys an update on the var. The Mercedes has been Sold. Thank you for considering Herb Chambers!" My wife and I were very serious about this car but needed our questions answered, unfortunately they were not and we wasn't even given the courtesy of a call to ask us if we were still interested in buying the car since someone else was interested. I have bought a lot of cars over the years, I am glad this is one that got away. While waiting in the dealership I noticed one salesperson who seems to win numerous sales awards - kind of hard to miss since the plastic trophies take up most of their workspace - I am sure he is proud of them but give us a break on the "I love me" display, it only adds fuel to the "used car salesmen" stereotype. This was my first and last visit to any Herb Chambers dealership. The only person who seemed to give a crap was the receptionist (whose name I did not see but would make a great salesperson because she has personality) and Caroline. The salesperson who assisted us couldn't even answer my wife's question of "What is the advantage of buying a car from Herb Chambers?" Gave us all sorts of answers on how it is a great place to work instead. More
