I went to this dealership as my first time trying to handle car issues after my father died this year and I no longer had someone to help me. I was working with Sean DeSilva who ensured me (over and ove handle car issues after my father died this year and I no longer had someone to help me. I was working with Sean DeSilva who ensured me (over and over) that he was not in the business of scamming people. I told him about my father and I told him I used my car to make deliveries for my job and need it to be in working condition asap. I originally went there for an oil change and he checked my car and came back to me with a report that said I needed to replace a tire and my radiator immediately so neither blew on me. I agreed to it and asked him to do what was necessary on the printout for me to pass a state inspection. My car was due for a new sticker this month and I was going to Rhode Island to get the inspection sticker because that’s where my car is registered and they do two years whereas Massachusetts only does 1 year. I spent $1400 the next day on a new radiator and tire and Sean sent me on my way to get my inspection in Rhode Island. When I got in my car I noticed my check engine light was still on and I knew that you cannot pass inspection with it on. I researched online and it said it may take a couple days after being serviced for the light to go off so I waited. When it didn’t go off, I called back for Sean and left a message. 4 days later and no call back. I called that Wednesday again and left a message. 5 days later and no call back. I called today and spoke with another service advisor named Robert who said the check engine light has nothing to do with the radiator and that he would have to check out my car tomorrow. I decided to drive to Rhode Island to meet my brother and go to Autozone for a check engine light printout. My brother looked over it and noticed that the two codes I had from autozone (P0171 and 61-1) were no where on the Honda printout. One code is about a battery and one code about an 02 filter. It was then that my brother told me the likelihood of the dealership making their quick money on me for a larger item rather than fixing a smaller cost issue was probable. It was also then that my brother said if I didn’t check my radiator there was even a possibility that wasn’t even necessary to replace. As I called Honda today to let them know I would never be coming back, crying on the phone, EVEN THEIR SECRETARY talked to me as if I was an inconvenience for crying to her interrupting me with “Name” “Phone number” in such a cold manner as if she heard it all before and it was getting old. It’s funny how everyone is so attentive and friendly when your putting $1400 in their pocket but no one can be bothered when you call the next two weeks with your concerns. I can honestly say I will NEVER go to a Honda Dealership again. This was actually traumatizing to me because I was already extremely scared to put my trust and faith in anyone with my car to begin with. More
