Unprofessional Nonchalant Managers I am writing this review in hopes that this dealership can tighten up on a few loose ends and create a more positive overall buying experience for con I am writing this review in hopes that this dealership can tighten up on a few loose ends and create a more positive overall buying experience for consumers following me. I do not wish to bash anyone but truly believe my experience was handled entirely too carelessly. I came in a few days before buying to test drive my dream vehicle that I felt was meant for me. For starters, the gas was close to empty (which can be overlooked but it isn't favored as riding an engine on E is not something I would want to be happening by the dealership if this is a future buy) and I was only allowed to circle the block once which doesn't really give you much time to get a true feel for the car. Nevertheless, my excitement got the best of me. I was partnered with a salesperson whom I told I would be back two days later for purchase. On the day I planned for purchase, the salesperson was not present and had me deal with someone else whom had barely any knowledge of prior communications between the old salesperson and I which was frustrating as it bought up a lot of time I had already spent filling out the same paperwork. I then test drove the car again and noticed the car was shaking when stopped. The Sales manager checked it out and agreed it was an issue and said they would get it checked out as a condition in purchasing and I signed a form and went to finance. John, in Finance, is who I worked with and he is the most genuine, real, and self-aware individual single handedly in the entire operations of this HGreg location, out of the 8 total people I encountered during purchase process. After the long process of finance, paying D.P and insurance, I was given the keys to my vehicle, I went down to the car and to my surprise after an 5 hour process; my car had not been washed, vacuumed, and it REEKED of rotten egg smell. I mentioned this to the salesperson before pulling off and was told it would be a situation handled immediately first thing in the morning. With what felt like no choice, I agreed to coming tomorrow before my scheduled work time and was told everything would be checked out then and taken care of. As I drove off and made way for home up north; I get to a friends house about 25 min out from the dealership. As I am driving, the rotten egg smell reeked more and more. I also noticed smoke coming from the engine area. After I look up possible meanings online about this, I hang out at my friends for an hour. Once I return to my car to head home the car does not start, the key does not work, and nothing in the car works including the button to adjust the seat. I am at lost for words. I had to catch an Uber home PISSED that the first few hours of my ownership, the car is not even starting?! I call first thing in the morning 9AM. I also text the salesperson at 7AM with no response. I am on hold to reach a Manager with a C.S. Agent until 10:30AM until she explains she cant reach anyone. I get a text back from the salesperson after explaining how my car wont start and only get a reply saying he will be in at 10AM;but he never called or text back until 11:30AM. During this time, I went back to the car to try and start it. After borrowing jumper cables and an hour later I start the car (Thank goodness or I thought I would have to pay for tow as I got not response at this time as to what to do from Hgreg personnel). I arrived at Hgreg and was very upset as you could imagine. Nevertheless, I calmly asked for the General Manager; (about 1PM but I was still unable to reach him through the C.S. agent). I made Elias aware of what went on and he nonchalantly explained "it happens to some cars that are just sitting unfortunately". He never once apologized for all that I went through in regards to having to jump start a vehicle newly purchased but instead said they will just take a look or I can look for something else. He was very careless, as was the sales manager, of the entire situation. John, from Finance, showed more genuine care concern and compassion and offered immediate assistance upon arrival. Mind you this was my dream car and I was simply being told to look for something else. It seemed Elias was only concerned about the car sale and not the customer. I was told it would be hard for me to get accepted elsewhere and I might as well transfer cars at this dealership. I felt pressured to do so, otherwise I would have went elsewhere no questions asked. Being that I was carless, I decided to still purchase another car from here and give up my dream car because it was not properly maintained or checked for inspections. I was barely offered an apology through all I endured even after still purchasing a car and drove off with still an close to empty tank. The only reason I am giving this dealership a 2 is because John is the best and ultimately saved the sale unfortunately he could not save my horrible customer service experience, BY THE WAY, Customer service called at 4PM saying she's sorry but she still cant get in contact with management (REMINDER I called her at 9AM). The independent insurance agent that works in the front for FL1/Progressive ( not Amanda) is rude and told me to "be quiet" so she can concentrate; following me answering a question she previously asked. I am pissed to be honest that this place even got my sale. But there is nothing I can do now, but share this experience In again. hopes to addressing some of my concerns and avoiding future mishaps with new customers. More
