🚨 DO NOT BUY FROM HILINE MOTORS 🚨 Our experience with Hiline Motors revealed serious misconduct, unsafe practices, and what appears to be fraudulent actions. In September 2024, we purchased a used vehic Hiline Motors revealed serious misconduct, unsafe practices, and what appears to be fraudulent actions. In September 2024, we purchased a used vehicle that was described as being in "excellent condition." However, within days, we discovered severe and undisclosed safety issues, including: • 3 cracked wheels • Severely worn tires • A damaged front lip • Non-working rear camera and Bluetooth Even worse, the vehicle passed a state inspection by Sam’s Auto Care that seems to have been falsified—despite failing a legitimate inspection by Mercedes of Plano just weeks earlier due to unsafe tires. This raises serious legal and safety concerns, and we believe this could indicate negligent or even fraudulent behavior. Despite reaching out multiple times over the course of 7+ months, Hiline Motors refused to offer any meaningful compensation, providing only a symbolic $250 check that barely covered a small part of the repairs. We documented over $10,000 in urgent repairs to address the safety hazards they sold us. Their response has been dismissive, uncooperative, and, at times, even accusatory. They continue to avoid addressing the severity of these issues, including the fraudulent inspection. Rather than addressing the situation, Hiline Motors went as far as reporting us to the Plano Police for "harassment" after we requested fair reimbursement. A sergeant from Plano PD contacted us, reviewed the situation, and confirmed that we are fully within our rights as consumers to seek compensation and file regulatory complaints. This is not an isolated incident. Hiline Motors has a troubling history of legal disputes and consumer complaints, including: • Bennie & Nikky Jordan v. Hiline Motors (Hiline lost) • Russell Blankman v. Hiline Motors (2024) • Gary Reeves v. Hiline Motors (2024) • Fidel Leal v. Hiline Motors (2024) • Henry Ajike v. Hiline Motors (2023) These cases indicate a pattern of deceptive practices and negligence that suggests Hiline Motors may not be acting in good faith with consumers. We are in the process of filing formal complaints with the Texas DMV, Attorney General, and other regulatory bodies, and are considering legal action under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) BBB, NBC 5 Responds. Additionally, we are submitting a formal complaint against Sam’s Auto Care for potentially falsifying the state inspection. BUYERS BEWARE—particularly out-of-state or cash buyers: Hiline Motors has consistently misrepresented the condition of vehicles, avoided responsibility for serious safety violations, and exposed customers to unnecessary risks. Their actions may be unethical and potentially criminal, and we encourage anyone considering purchasing from them to take careful note of the many negative reviews and unresolved complaints. We will not rest until this conduct is brought to light, and we strongly advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with Hiline Motors. More
Disappointing Experience! I walked into HiLine Motors extremely excited to test drive a car I’ve been interested in for a little while. Gabe, the sales representative was pleasant and made the overall experience fast and easy. Once we worked out details, I decided to use my car as a trade and paid for the rest in cash, again, fast, and easy transaction. The vehicle was ready to be picked up in a few days, the vehicle was delivered fairly clean, smoke smell and empty gas tank. Gabe gave me one set of keys and told me the second would be provided once I picked up my plates, no walkthrough on how things worked on my new car or anything. A couple of weeks later I received a call that my plates were ready, I went in, picked up my second set of keys and new plates were placed on my car. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, the brake light came on, I didn’t think anything of it but when I got home my husband noticed it. He called the dealership Monday morning and was told Gabe was no longer an employee there, so he spoke to someone else, he explained to him the situation and was provided with a name of a place to take it to for inspection. We did that and was told the car needed new brakes, front and back and it would cost $3,500 and that it had to be done as brakes were in the bad condition. We left the car there to get brakes done, called the dealership spoke to Steve and explained, we just bought the car 2 weeks ago and already need to replace brakes for $3,500. While car was being serviced the battery dies and needs to be replaced, another $400. Now I’m out just shy of $4,000 and had the car for only a few weeks. I’ve been going back and forth with Steve for weeks now as he keeps giving me the runaround that he’s “trying” to get me some sort of compensation, but I keep on having to follow up with him. At this point, this has been an overall horrible experience, and I would NOT recommend anyone to buy a car from HiLine Motors. More

After I received the vehicle at my house, I immediately reported the below issues to Ray who was my salesman and he did fight for me, or at least that is what he said. Steve the manager called me names and then hung up on me though, SO PROFESSIONAL! PROBLEMS: (182 point inspection is completely FALSE / a lie): 1.) Leaking oil pan. 2.) Rear sunroof glass panel cracked/shattered after I received the vehicle within 5 minutes. 3.) Front tires are severely feathered, therefore the alignment is shot. 4.) Dent in the rear bumper. 5.) Telescoping side view mirrors never worked. 6.) Oil was never changed and is smoked. I am sure I am missing more, but hopefully you get the picture! Thank God I am a car guy or these things would have cost me thousands of dollars! They are a typical greasy used cars sales lot and tried to blame me for not purchasing a warranty...REDICULOUS...SO DOES THAT MEAN ALL THERE CARS ARE EXPECTED TO COME WITH THESE ISSUES...NO!!! 100% Unethical and unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! More

Steve Salerno sent the "Doctored" docusign showing that HiLine owed nothing else on the car. When questioned, Steve said, "we are way beyond that." General Sales Manager, Gabe Deleon replied to 1 of several emails requesting clarification of costs in writing. NOW to be totally fair to both Steve and Gabe, I don't believe either had knowledge of Tommy's promises. I believe that they were simply working out of common business practices with needed information being withheld. More
