I had a great experience at Kuni Honda from start to finish. Scott Wilde helped me buy my car and could not have been more friendly or helpful. Scott cleaned off the car so that I could look at it and then the following night washed the car again when I came back for a test drive and made the purchase. He was constantly in contact with me and kept me informed and answered any questions I had. Everyone in the used car department and finance was great to work with. I had been shopping for a car for 3 months and have not encountered a better group of people to work with in any other car dealership in Colorado. The low pressure environment is what people are looking for when buying a car and that was the experience I had at Kuni. Came in to look at a Honda Odyssey that was on craigslist. Turned out not to have that van, and hadn't had it for weeks so it was an erroneous listing. They told us about a couple of others that were more expensive, but we worked with Ralphe Benfante and decided to drive one. It was nice, but shifted very hard and we commented on that. When we got back to Kuni, we said that we wouldn't be comfortable purchasing it with the hard shifting, Ralph went to get his sales manager (i know . . . textbook used car dealer move) but this was a good thing. They had the van looked at by the mechanics, determined it needed a transmission rebuild and said they would not spend the $4500 they needed to for Honda parts and Honda labor and said they would be sending it to auction. Then the manager said he would sell it to us for $2000, and the original price was about $4800. So we called our regular mechanic, got a quote for a rebuilt transmission, and since the car only had a little over 100,000 miles and was a Honda and seemed otherwise in good shape AND we were already sick of looking at cars, we bought it as a towaway for $2000. Kind of a leap of faith, but we have since had the transmission built, and there are a few other minor issues with the van, but nothing too bad so I think we got a decent deal. Ralph and the other folks were all very helpful and nice. Good experience all around. We did not have much money and did not want car payments, and nobody tried to talk us into anything more expensive or get us financed, which we appreciated. More
