I originally came across Kuni Honda at the end of September when I was looking for a used car. They had a 2009 Civic EX that I was interested in. I inquired about the car online and heard back from C September when I was looking for a used car. They had a 2009 Civic EX that I was interested in. I inquired about the car online and heard back from Carol. She was helpful and nice in getting me with who I needed to see. I went in on a Friday night to test drive the car (I believe it was Jesse who took me on my test drive) and went in the next day so I could see it in the daylight. When I went in that next day, I spotted Jesse but he had Andrew help me with my second test drive. I decided I liked the car and dealt with Jesse on the numbers. I felt like the car price was a little too high so I told him my price range and he said he wouldn't be able to match it, so I left. I received follow up emails the next Monday from Andrew and the Internet Sales Team Manager and told them what I was looking for and to let me know if anything changed with the price on that 2009 civic. About a week later, I looked online to compare cars I had been looking at and saw that the price had dropped on that car. Unfortunately, the car sold before I had the chance to go back to the dealership. About a week after that, I received a mass email from Kuni Honda advertising deals they were having for October 12-13. I had since changed my mind on the cars I was previously looking at and decided I wanted 2012 Civic instead. After reviewing the email I received, I decided to go in. The deals Kuni had going on that made me inclined to go in a second time were: 1. a $50 Visa gift card coupon they had on their website for test driving a vehicle (no purchase necessary) and 2. a free $250 for additional accessories and a free pair of windshield wipers with a purchase of a vehicle that weekend, which was in that email they sent. When I went in on October 13th, I was greeted and ran into Andrew and Jesse who both remembered my name. I test drove the 2012 Civic and decided to look at numbers again. I spent a lot of time deliberating over the numbers. There was some confusion with the finance rate because Honda.com was advertising a 0.9% finance rate for new civics but Kuni had it at 1.9%. Jesse had to do a bit of research and ended up finding out that their books weren't completely up to date. After working that out, I offered a price I was willing to pay for the car and got a flat out "no." So I left, again. While I was waiting at the bus stop, I received a call from Carol saying she said she had heard what happened and talked to another manager and they would match my price. Luckily I wasn't too far away so I was able to come back and buy the car. I was pretty flustered by my interaction with abrupt "no" I received from Jesse that I completely forgot to bring up the fact that I had the coupon for test driving and the email with the free additional accessories and windshield wipers. Looking back on it now, I'm surprised that no one mentioned those offers given that Saturday was the "last day" they were having those deals. The total process ended up taking about 5 hours, which was much longer than I expected and I was pretty anxious to get out of there, which is another reason why I spaced the coupons. The long process wasn't entirely the dealership's fault. They needed my insurance and there were complications trying to get a hold of my insurance company to get something to show I had coverage. After getting that worked out, I still spent longer than I thought was necessary with my paperwork because they wanted to sell me the extended warranty. They worked really hard to try and accommodate my financial needs, but it was simply something I couldn't afford. Andrew, my salesman, was very nice and helpful and stayed 2 hours after his shift to make sure everything went smoothly. Like I mentioned, I did forget to present my coupon for the $50 gift card for test driving and added accessory incentives for buying. I talked to Andrew about it afterwards and he checked with management to see if they could still honor the gift card (I didn't mention to him about the accessories and windshield wipers) but was told the coupon would have had to be presented while I was there test driving. That was kind of a bummer. All in all, I had a decent experience buying a car. I love my car and I'm happy with the price I paid for it. I wish the process would have been faster and that they would have reminded me about their specials they were running that weekend or honored them when I brought it up later. Mostly everyone was friendly and had good customer service. I look forward to the opportunity to continue bringing in my car for free detailing and tire rotations every quarter, which is a nice plus. I would have given it a higher score but I only have 1 key and that key is broken and the dealership would n 2006 Lexus that drives like brand new!!! Go to Adam...he's great. No haggeling,he listens to your needs and is very accomodating. Next time I buy a car, it would be from Adam and Kuni. More
James Edwards was our new car sales representative at Kuni Honda throughout our search for a new vehicle. He was friendly and courteous during our three visits to Kuni Honda prior to leasing a 2013 Hon Kuni Honda throughout our search for a new vehicle. He was friendly and courteous during our three visits to Kuni Honda prior to leasing a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L sedan. He went out of his way to accommodate my wife and myself during the two test drives and throughout the negotiations after we finally decided to lease an Accord rather than a competitor's vehicle. He was knowledgeable about his product and over the 3 months period we were examining other vehicles at Toyota and Nissan dealerships, would always respond immediately if we e-mailed him or placed a call for him with a question. He really deserves high marks for his patience when dealing with such difficult and demanding customers as my wife and I are. We appreciate his help. Regarding Kuni Honda, I have used their service department for several years and frankly, it is one of the best service departments that I ever have dealt with. It is one of the reasons that I came to this particular dealership. During the lease process, every representative we encountered was courteous and businesslike. No undue sales pressure was used during the whole process. Donald Chilcoat More
Scott was very courteous and informative during our test drives. Scott was helpful during our buying process. After the sale which, I find to be as important if not more important than the buying proc drives. Scott was helpful during our buying process. After the sale which, I find to be as important if not more important than the buying process is the customer service in which Scott took the time to make sure that our vehicle was detailed and ready to go. When I noticed an over head light was not working they fixed it immediately. To reduce a double trip, they were able to schedule to make sure that tinting and bra coverage was done and ready to go the next day. When I noticed that floor mats (for a certified vehicle) were missing Scott returned my call immediately and I was given a new, upgraded, set of floor mats the very same day. Overall, My wife and I were very pleased with our car buying experience at Kuni Honda! More
