We had taken our Honda Pilot to another shop for an oil change, and were told we needed about $1,000 of service. We decided instead to take it to Kuni Honda, so an appointment was set. When we arrived, Chris Zimmerman (our service sonsultant) looked over the vehicle and told us we did NOT need to spend the money at this time...the vehicle was good for another 40K miles. What a relief. He easily could have sold us the service, but he went out of his way to explain everything and look out for our best interest. We will never take our vehicle anywhere else for any kind of service from now on. I wish more businesses looked after their customers like this. More
I had a horrible experience on Christmas Eve of all days --- I spent 3 HOURS at this Honda dealership trying to trade in my Honda Odyssey 2009 for a 2011. I was VERY clear that my ONLY requirement was that --- I spent 3 HOURS at this Honda dealership trying to trade in my Honda Odyssey 2009 for a 2011. I was VERY clear that my ONLY requirement was that it seat eight, not seven, as I my 2009 is an 8-seater and I have 6 kids. After three hours and when in the Finance office wrapping things up, my husband discovered while unloading our old car that the new one did NOT have 8 seats!!!! Everything halted, the sales team appeared dumbfounded, and I was simply told "I'm so sorry, there is nothing I can do, the model you need would be $100 more per month." Not even an offer to detail our 2009 for our time and trouble, NOTHING. They let me leave quite angry. Two days later I went to Toyota where I had a great experience and left with a 2012 Sienna on an 84 month term, which Honda never bothered to offer me (even though my 2009 was financed on an 84 month term). My husband has had a very good experience with Honda in the past at Buerkle Honda in the Minneapolis/St Paul area, so he may give Honda another chance. Ryan was friendly, personable, and cheerful from the get go. He went the extra mile to ensure I was aware of all the "red flags" that showed up with my car. I thought the car buying experience with Kuni Honda was great. I had spoken with several other dealers about the Odyssey and felt that the dealership was playing games, holding back and not being up front great. I had spoken with several other dealers about the Odyssey and felt that the dealership was playing games, holding back and not being up front about the costs, incentives. I called, laid it all out on the table for my price points, what I was looking for and Kuni Honda came back with a "absolutely - we can do that" attitude. We ended up purchasing two vehicles from them that evening. I would recomend this dealership to others and if I needed to purchase a vehicle again, definitely go back to Kuni Honda. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable from the sales guys Cameron and Kevin to the finance department.
