On Wednesday, Doug Thorne (the manager) agreed that he would not deposit my check until I called him on Friday to confirm my mutual fund proceeds had gone into my checking account. He assured me this “would absolutely not be a problem” and that he “does this all the time for customers”. (witnessed by myself, my wife, son, Mary Lou Petersen and Omar). Despite this assurance, Doug deposited my check that very evening (Wed July 13th) which was then presented to my bank for payment on Thursday. This resulted in overdraft charges, additional transaction fees and interest. I phoned Doug on Friday afternoon as I had promised, and he has yet to return three phone calls/messages, thus confirming to me that he had no intention of holding my check until Friday or Monday as he had promised. Doug Thorne’s blatant dishonesty on what could have been a pleasant transaction, soured me on Kuni dealerships. Considering that Doug Thorne has neither returned my calls let alone offered to reimburse me for my bank charges that he is responsible for, I can only assume that lying to customers must the acceptable protocol at Kuni dealerships. Disgusting!!!! What a stupid way to run a business, and until I receive a phone call of appolgy from Doug Thorne and reimbursement for my bank fees, you can be assured I will be letting everyone I know about how dishonest Kuni dealerships are. I will enjoy plastering Facebook, BBB and any other media I can reach out to with complaints about how Doug Thorne and the Kuni dealerships will outright lie to a customer’s face to close a sale. Maybe Tom Martino would be interested in pressing this over his radio or TV show? Doug Thorne and Kuni appear willing to accept all this bad press just to avoid reimbursing me less than $100 in bank fees and apologizing for lying to me. Again – stupid way to run a business. Doug Thorne and Kuni dealerships are the epitome of a sleazy used car dealership. More
Tom was amazing! He was patient and friendly, I never felt pressured! He stayed with us the dealership until we had finished all of our paper work (which was way past closing time)I would absolutely reco felt pressured! We had an appointment with a man named Bien.We go in and they cant find him!Apparently he has gone home!This is our first impression!Shows such initiative!So now we stand by the front door waiting for someo they cant find him!Apparently he has gone home!This is our first impression!Shows such initiative!So now we stand by the front door waiting for someone to help us!!They find Michael.He is very nice.So we sit down and he asks us what we think we can afford and what we like.Then we get to test drive the car we were there to see.As we are driving my husband tries to get the navigation to work and all it says is ''CHECK DEVICE''!We get back from a pretty quiet ride and Michael asks someone what is wrong with the navigation and the man responds ''the sensor probably needs to be reset''.Well on the ride Michael told us that it had been working earlier that day!This implies to me that it is a frequent problem and sensors are not cheap to fix!!So we get back and wait for Omar to look at the trade in we have.He never touched our vehicle(and its not rusty or visibly bad,its a GMC Sierra with an insulated topper and rhinno lined bed,no rust,new tires)He went outside with the paper,looked up and turned around and came back in.He comes in with an offer of $1100.00 BELOW Kelly Blue Book-thats a big amount!Michael comes out of the ''office'' and has some silly list about how much the car is worth and how we are getting a deal,then he throws our monthly payment in there.It is like 250.00 more than what we told him was our range!(why ask if you dont care?)So we ask for more on our trade in and he goes back in the ''office''.He comes back and says ''they are willing to give you what you want on your trade but, ''he'' says it still wont work and that this car is just too much for you''.I am in shock that he just said that!How unprofessional!!!And rude,CONSIDERING THAT THEY NEVER EVEN RAN OUR CREDIT!!!!!!!At this point it is 20 mins to close.He looks at us and says ''sorry guys''.Nothing more!As we go to walk out MY HUSBAND TURNS AND SAYS THANK YOU AND OFFERS A HAND SHAKE-NOT MICHAEL-MY HUSBAND!They never offered to try to find something that may also work!No other option-we walked out with NOTHING!They could have said ''we are about to close so how about i look at our inventory tomorrow and see if i can find something that will work for you thats in your price range and give you a call''! Very sad customer service!I really wanted a Honda-and i would have taken a cheaper one had they offered!It seemed to me that they just wanted to go home!!Oh well, on our way to Ford tomorrow!Kuni Honda on Arapahoe just put a bad taste in my mouth for Hondas!
