Very nice. Dealership called me by 2pm the next day to say all work was done and the car was all set for pick-up. I arrived to a clean and updated service center, vehicle work area had newly finished clean floors and customer friendly indoor, drive in drop off service. I have never seen anything this nice at any other dealership before. I was very impressed and was happy with the service performed and the friendly service. More

What more could one want from a dealership? This is yet another reason why the Honda Barn is our Honda dealership. More
Awful customer service and issue not resolved our audio system locked because our battery died and it was disconnected to clean the connections before jump starting it. Apparently it's some anti theft thing and it was asking for a code. Well we bought it used at 3 years old and didn't have an audio code or serial number. I brought it in a few weeks ago to see if they could reset it and they tried everything and couldn't they said I had to come back and they would have to remove my radio in order to get the S/N $$$$. I did some googling and realized there was a service bulletin to upgrade the software because this was an issue. I called back Honda Barn, and spoke to Kevin who said he had the disks, but it would cost me $75 for labor to perform the update and that I should check with my original dealer and see if they would pay the cost. While reading through the service bulletin, it states that this is performed for free to the customer (just like recalls). So I called American Honda and they went through the bulletin, and said the same thing, and actually told me to go to a different Honda because they should not be charging me. I wanted to give them another chance, so I called and explained that it is free of charge. So I got an appointment for a week out (earliest one they had) and was there for about 1.5 hrs with my 2 year old. Kevin said it was all set, but that there was a disk error so it must be the DVD that was in there. So I checked, tried multiple DVD's and went back in and said that it wasn't working. His reply was that he was at least happy the radio was working (apparently these people do not have 3 kids under the age of 8). He was super passive aggressive. I explained that on the service bulletin it explains you have to update the audio then the DVD player (I should not have to be finding the issue then explaining how to perform the job) He just brushed me off and said he couldn't do anything about it because they were closing. So I called the following morning at 8:30 and when I spoke to him and said who it was he replied with a "ya" so I had to ask about the issue and he said he hadn't had a chance to speak with the tech and that he would call me back. Well I called the service manager at 10 and they are still trying to figure it out. I followed the directions on the bulletin (shocking how easy it is) and my software version is 1.99 and it's supposed to be 5.29 so obviously it needs the upgrade which it tells you right in the directions. I just feel like because this isn't an $800 brake job they keep giving me the run around. I seriously just need the Update CD and I can do it in the parking lot myself the instructions are not rocket science. We leave Thursday night and honestly I didn't buy a minivan because of its status symbol. I bought it because we do lots of road trips, and with 3 kids a DVD player is essential! More
