Unneeded purchase First of all, I have gone to this service center for a long time. They have taken care of all my cars. Recently, I took in my MDX for a starting pro First of all, I have gone to this service center for a long time. They have taken care of all my cars. Recently, I took in my MDX for a starting problem. I told them that it would not start, and that I might need a new starter since my battery was just changed 8 months ago. I got towed to the dealership, and was given a loaner car. They said that they would order a starter, and install it. I assumed that they would diagnose the problem, and call me if there were any weird things that come up. After they finished, I picked up my car, and it started right away. I drove it home, and did not drive it the rest of the day. The next day, it did not start. It was doing the same thing as before. Luckily, I jumped it with my other car, and drove it in. Once they got it, they finally did some tests, and deduced that it was the battery, and changed it for free under warranty. Now I have to wonder....did I really need a new $500 starter? This was the first time I've ever had a bad experience and will call them tomorrow. More
