Great Buying Experience at College Park Honda! I had been looking to replace my previous car with a new Honda Accord due to the much greater fuel efficiency, but had not been able to pull the trig I had been looking to replace my previous car with a new Honda Accord due to the much greater fuel efficiency, but had not been able to pull the trigger due to other dealers unwillingness to work with me on my trade-in and their hard stance on insisting charging me close to MSRP on the new Accord hybrid, which I was previously considering. After finally deciding on the gas only 2014 4 cyl Accord, I emailed several dealers their quotes. This time, I broadened my range of search to include College Park Honda (referred to as CPH from this point of review on). After receiving several quotes, I decided it was unnecessary to email a second round because a few of the quotes were very competitive. I emailed the sales guy who sent me the lowest quote from CPH (Waleed) and told him I was going in to check out the car. Even though at that point, I still had my doubts due to past dealership buying experience. On the morning I went in, I told myself that I would walk away, if this dealer, like many others who tried, would play ANY games with me. Lo and behold, Waleed followed through on everything he said. The agreed upon price of the car, there was absolutely NO bogus fees and he even included freebies to go along with the deal (mud guards, wheel locks etc.). Everything was EXACTLY as I was told in our emails. The buying experience did take a bit longer than expected, though it was partly due to my end as well as the time it took to appraise my trade in. Additionally, he also worked hard to ensure that the trade-in offer they could come up with would satisfy both parties. And it did. More importantly, Waleed remained accommodating, responsive and patient throughout the entire process. In the end, I took delivery of the car – A beautiful 2014 MSM Accord EX-L later that night and couldn’t be any happier about the car (I’m still very happy with the car). The buying experience with Waleed and the general sales team was so pleasant this time that when my brother told me he was ready to lease the CRV, I recommended him to consider CPH. He did. We emailed several dealers again their quotes on the CRV, and once again, not only did Waleed beat out all other dealers with his quotes, he also followed through on everything he promised in his emails. Only difference? It was much more efficient this time. We arrived at the dealer at roughly 9:30, went through the entire process and were ready to take delivery of our new CRV EX-L at just a bit past 11:30. This was truly an AMAZING and PAINLESS buying experience, all made possible because of a sales consultant who was professional and knew how to treat his customers the right way. Overall, I would highly recommend Waleed to anyone in town shopping for a new Honda. He is friendly, competitive in pricing, and most importantly, he follows through on everything he’s promised. If you do your homework and are willing to work with him, I’m sure he will come through for you as he did for us! I have had a lot of experience buying cars with friends and family and have seen all kinds of stuff, I can honestly say, Waleed M. is one of the few true car sales professionals that I would not hesitate to work with again whenever I am ready for a new car. So much so, that I was compelled to grab a flight from Alabama to Baltimore to wrap up a distance deal on a Honda Ridgeline with him. From my initial contact with Waleed via email / phone, to the airport pickup, everything went very smoothly with him. Throughout the negotiation process, he was eager to help, answer my questions, and handle my requests in a way to achieve positive responses from management. I cannot recommend him enough to handle your car buying experience. As with any car dealer, especially one you travel great distances to, get everything in writing before you walk into the dealership. The best dealerships will have everything ready to go when you arrive. You’ll visit their business office & be on your way in no time - thanking them for their efficiency - even though you should expect this from any well run business! So we made a call to College Park Honda, which was very close to where we lived. We were impressed from the beginning and made it clear that they wanted us to be happy. We met Waleed and it was clear he was willing to do whatever it took to find us our dream car. We wanted to buy a car and he wanted to sell us one. He found us the Honda Fit in the color that we were looking for quickly. He was always very prompt in returning our calls and if he could not answer a question he would find out and call us back quickly. He is an excellent communicator.
