On October 19, 2020 I had an appointment to to get an oil change for 3:30pm. I was running late due to the 405 traffic. I called and they were super polite over the phone. I arrive a bit after 3:30pm and Byron was very helpful from the second I pulled up. I apologized for being late and he assured me it was fine. He answered all of my questions and concerns with such politeness. While I was waiting inside I decided to take a look at your steering wheel cover inventory. I saw Larry and remembered he helped me years ago with my original purchase right after I bought my Honda. I needed to replace my current one and he was extremely helpful. He looked up my make and model. He walked over to show me the various options. He made some helpful suggestions and I purchased one of them. As I was waiting to enter my credit card I noticed a sign about replacing the clicker on the key. I asked him a few questions. He was above and beyond patient and polite. He answered all of my questions with detailed information. I previously dropped my keys and cracked the clicker so was in need of a replacement. I told him I previously asked about it and was quoted $450. He asked me for my vin number. I didn’t know it off hand and walked over to Byron. Byron politely showed me where it was so that I may give it to Larry. I walked over to Larry. To be honest I would have not decided to replace my clicker if it wasn’t for Larry’s customer service and helpfulness. As I waited I went to pay for my oil change and finished up with Byron. He was efficient, kind and informative. He told me to inform him when Larry was done so that he may pull my car up. Now that’s a prime example of customer service :) Larry was finished and I paid for the replacement. I was so impressed because he walked around the counter and told me “let’s go make sure this works.” I was so thankful because I didn’t even think about that. Again great customer service. He walked me out and checked to see if it worked and it did! Our world is going through some rough waters to say the least and I am extremely thankful for these two exceptional employees at Ocean Honda. I drove out with a huge smile under my mask because they reminded me that good kind people exist! Larry has exceptional customer service and I appreciate his help. I am very thankful that he was very informative and helped me make my decision to replace my clicker. Byron showed exceptional customer service and was very helpful throughout my car service. I understand that they work in different departments, but I couldn’t help take a moment to say how much I appreciate their teamwork and willingness to go above and beyond. I have been buying and servicing my Hondas for many years at this dealership, going back to when it was Robertson Honda. While the name has changed, the priority of customer service being #1 has not. I had my passport brought in for recall work. When I got it back I noticed two tabs sticking out from under the screen. That wasn't there before and them leaving it there shows just how SLOPPY their workman it back I noticed two tabs sticking out from under the screen. That wasn't there before and them leaving it there shows just how SLOPPY their workmanship is and how POOR their attention to details are. In addition the service advisor, Lisa Bell has terrible customer service manners: no greetings, acts like you're a waste of her time & acts entitled. Just look at their service complaint history and you'll see how bad this dealership is. Avoid them and spare yourself unnecessary return trips and damage to your car! More
