I purchased a 2018 Corolla in June, 2023, and had been pleased at the service provided at the time. However, I came to discover that much of what Honeycar touted may veil problems that the dealership woul pleased at the service provided at the time. However, I came to discover that much of what Honeycar touted may veil problems that the dealership would have been aware of and chose not to disclose. Had they have provided this information--specifically that the car has been involved in a front end collision at some point in its life prior to my purchase--I would have felt more informed and either explored other options or weighed whether I was willing to accept that it had some history that could significantly affect its future life. Sadly, this is becoming the case and I'm terribly disappointed by this lack of transparency. I was proud to have shared with others that it was a positive experience and that was soured when a mechanic pointed out the tell-tale signs of prior damage. These include a band of leftover blue mechanics tape, some stress buckling near bolts that house the battery, and yellow 'dots' behind the front cruise sensor, and a radiator that is not original to the vehicle. The vehicle is now experiencing issues that I would not expect from a 2018 year vehicle--especially when my previous 2007 model had none of these issues. While I accept that I signed the signature line accepting it was an "as is used vehicle," I question the ethics of stating that it is accident free vehicle. Now, I face the possibility of taking a $19000 loss and the need to sort out how to have a vehicle to work. While I am now facing a ruinous financial transaction as a result of a dishonest deal, I hope to help others make an informed decision. The least that I can do is use the power of word-of-mouth to do my part to help others avoid the heartache of being swindled. More
