Complete Lack of Trust and Accountability The service center at this Kia dealership has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Back in August, they miscalibrated my oil level, causing my "change oil" center at this Kia dealership has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Back in August, they miscalibrated my oil level, causing my "change oil" light to come on prematurely. When I brought the car back to report their mistake, they offered to simply "top off" the oil instead of doing a complete replacement. I had to escalate the issue just to get them to properly fix their own error. During that visit, my husband specifically requested a full vehicle inspection to make sure everything else was running smoothly. The service manager, Shelby, guaranteed us that the car was in great shape. Right after that visit, my car began having starter issues. I would press the brake, push the start button, and the engine would turn over as if it were going to start, but then fail to turn on. I had to repeatedly release and re-press the brake pedal just to get it running. It was baffling to experience this immediately after being told a full inspection was performed. When I brought the car back in, I was told it would take up to 72 hours just to look at it and that I might be liable for a $210 diagnostic fee—even though this brand-new 2025 Kia K5 is fully covered under manufacturer warranty. To make matters worse, no one bothered to communicate with me for three full days. When they finally called, they stated the battery and the battery wiring harness needed to be replaced. On top of that, there was an active recall (SA645) on the vehicle that should have been brought to my attention a month ago during my previous visit. While a basic inspection might not catch every mechanical glitch, a Kia service center should easily flag open recalls on a brand-new vehicle. Between the poor workmanship, lack of communication, and disregard for active recalls, I no longer trust this dealership to handle my vehicle properly. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
