This was the first time I've ever felt FANTASTIC driving off a dealership lot! With every other experience I have had purchasing a car, I've always felt like something underhanded was going on or that I off a dealership lot! Wendell Dossett (at Beck Toyota) went above and beyond my expectations. I first called Wendell when I found the car I was looking for online. I explained to him that I have a two year old and very little free time. Bringing my daughter with me to the dealership while we discussed terms wasn’t an option. We covered many of the basic points over the phone and set up a time for me to come in the next morning. Then I threw another curve ball at Wendell – I would have less than two hours to get the deal done. From test drive to trade in to signing on the dotted line, Wendell was on it. He was literally running to make sure he had me out in time for my next appointment. He even went out into the rain (heavy HEAVY rain storm) so pull my trade in into the showroom so that I could get my daughter’s carseat and other items out of the car without getting drenched. He even pulled my new car up for me. And in less than two hours I was driving off the lot…humming, smiling ear to ear. The only regret that I have about my experience was not having more time with Wendell. He went into work early and made sure that I was out of there in time. It was excellence in customer service. My husband and I learned that our beloved 2006 Prius was declared "totaled" after what we thought was a fender-bender. By that time it was after 5 on that fateful Monday. I started googling Toyota showrooms for our state--Indiana, plus Louisville and Cincinnati. I called three Indiana dealers. No Help. The fourth on I dialed was the number for Beck Toyota in Indianapolis. I had easily found on their web page that they had in stock three 2011 Prius II. The man who is Beck's Internet specialist responded. I described our problem: we need a new Prius III ASAP. He said he would call us back within a few minute. He need to look on the lot at a particular car. Within ten minutes we were talking once more. He had a Prius for us. We happily said "yes". We gave him a card number to hold it until the next day. We arrived. The car was waiting. We met Mr Dossett, gave Beck Toyota the money, signed the right papers, and drove it home yesterday early afternoon. We have bought many automobiles over the last 55 years, but this was the easiest and most professional--yet friendly--purchase we have ever made. Congratulations, Beck Toyota, for making what many times has been a horrible event into a trustworthy and comfortable buying experience. More
